The Saga of the Plymouth Colony Told by The Women Who Lived It.
The story of Pilgrim Mary Brewster is reenacted by Kay Benson, the Music Chair of the Central Texas Colony of the Mayflower Descendent.
Mary Brewster's husband William was the only person on the Mayflower who had attended University and had worked as a diplomat, so he wrote a contract to form a political body under the King of England with the potential to write just and equal laws and settle disputes. Ultimately most of the adult men on the Mayflower signed the document, called, The Mayflower Compact, agreeing to be under these laws for their own protection.
William continued for many years as Elder for the Puritan Separatist church in Plymouth.
