Simpler the machine, easier it is to maintain. Jets typically retire in 25-30 years. But these birds are still flying.

They should try the Bf.109 next! It`s quite difficult to land with its narrow undercarriage! But.....why are they nervous? They are both experienced pilots! In WW2, the Spitfire pilots did not have as much training and experience as Maria and Victor have! But they did not only have to fly the Spitfire - they had to fight in it! Never knowing if this would be their last day on earth! Never knowing if they will come back......
