I read a bunch of posts on FaceBook this morning where someone finished their ground school early and a few people recommended doing ground school later on in flight training, and I just thought I should point out a few things to clarify why some people are recommending this: First, most of the people who are recommending this (likely) didn't pursue pilot training with the full-time intensity that a lot of students I've met (including myself) are where we are flying sometimes multiple times per day and really stacking up hours. Second, another point they made is that doing flight training and ground school at the same time helps you understand the theories better, I find this highly debatable. Sure, you might find a few things in aerodynamics useful, but you would also find them useful (or perhaps more so) had you studied them in advance, wouldn't you? XD In any case, make sure you do due diligence and research before making your final decision on when to do your ground school!

+1! I always recommend that students get the groundschool done before they focus on flying. Having said that, a little bit of flying during GS can help provide context and -- importantly -- motivation.

I am doing ppl ground school first but it’s sometimes difficult to make sense of what you study without being in touch with aviation community, airplane, and overall environment. So in my point of view it’s really worthed to do them both currently as it help drilling all those concepts in place as they would immediately make sense. Plus I think it would kind of balance between being stuck at home studying then going out ‘freely’ flying so one would be a complement to the other in terms of rest. And finally mann ! You could be so hungry for aviation knowledge, I am by the end of it right now and my mind is Saturated

You'll find that a good deal of ground school knowledge won't be immediately visible or applicable during training. But if you can juggle both at the same time go for it =-)

@@LateDeparture I’m actually done with it, I’ll do the flying on it’s own while reviewing the GS material of course
