Hi Danny I am going to build a Pilot RC Laser 88" with the GA6000 motor running off two 5000mAh 6S cells. Its the first build of this size that's electric. My question: I see that the firewall is closed and that there are no holes on the bottom of the fuselage. I am used to having airflow through the firewall and out of the bottom of the fuselage through some gill like slots in my other electrics. I assume you are going to open up the firewall at the bottom (guess that is where the smoke system normally goes), and then also open up the covering at the bottom of your plane - where the gill slots are :-). This should then anable some airflow over the motor and ESC. Regards Karl

Hi Karl.. there should be some slots at the front and back of the under carriage put your ventilation outlet through them slots using a soldering iron. You shouldn’t need to open any ventilation for fire wall.. I have a slick 78” with Xpwr 35cc and extra 330LX 78”with Duelsky GA 4000.7-40cc Edge 540” 78” with 35”” and Slick 84” with Duelsky GA 6000.8 motor and they all don’t have fire wall cut out using good ESC To keep cool your motor gets cooling from the front of cowling vent!! Fly safe Karl 👍

Thanks Danny. I want to reinforce the undercarriage area but didn't get any tri-angular reinforcement pieces with my 67" Laser. Are these made of balsa or another harder wood? Thanks Mike

Hi Michael. You should have got the triangle pieces with your Laser I did with mine. They are balsa but hard ish not the total soft type that crumbles in your hand use balsa to keep weight down. It’s a must if you are fly off grass it will safe you future repairs..fly safe buddy! 👍

@@dannyporter888silverfox8 Yes odd that it wasn't included in the kit. I will look to get some harder balsa as my stock of triangular balsa is quite soft. I do fly off grass so will definitely be doing this mod. Cheers

Michael also sand the corner of the triangle so the epoxy can run down it and give a better bond! 👍

Hello John. I’ve been spending a lot of time in bed in pain. I have also received a letter from the surgeon to say my bone growth will carry on growing but at a slower rate so the verdict is I will be in pain for the rest of my life till I die, not good for me however just got to carry on as best as I can. Thanks for asking John. Anyway I haven’t been in touch because I’ve been feeling quite down and low about myself. How are you? Have you been flying much and how are your eyes now, have they improved? Oh, and did you enjoy your holiday? Care Danny.

@@dannyporter888silverfox8 hi again Danny, I guessed you were not feeling great☹️ I know that your in a lot of pain but it will get less over time. You have two choices my friend, 1, to give into what has happened to you, don’t do all the things you use to love like flying, vlogging etc because your in pain & finding things difficult. 2. DONT focus on what you CAN’T DO at the moment. Try to be positive about getting as well as you can get & set small steps to recovery every day. START by thinking about the content of your next vlog!!! THEN MAKE IT IN STAGES, A BIT EVERY DAY. It will do your mental state the world of good!! ALSO CONTACT your flying club mates & GET DOWN THE PATCH for some interaction with people with the same interests. YOU MUST DO ALL YOU CAN TO MANAGE YOUR MENTAL WELLNESS. Being at home just dealing with pain is NOT good for you, you are still alive when you should not be after the horrendous accident & got a long life ahead of you so YOU must do all you can to make it as best you can🤞you could make a vlog a little bit each day then edit it so it looks like a coherent video. Me, my eyes are as good as they are going to get so just fly a little bit closer than I use to. Had some good holidays & just booked to go to Lanzarote & booked 5 weeks in Australia to meet the twin grand daughters we only seen on face time. They are miracle girls that should not be here & born very early & could fit in the palm of your hand. After many weeks in hospital they are now 18 months old & are doing very well, thank god🙏 they are real fighters! Our other daughter who is travelling the world back packing is in Bali & we are all meeting up for a week in FIJI for a week which will be great🤞. I also got the worst flu I’ve ever had just after Christmas even though I had the flu jab, it lasted 5 weeks & couldn’t stop coughing, so much so it gave me a large hernia that stopped me doing a lot. My club mates asked me where I was & when I told them I can’t bend much, on a Wednesday, one of them picks me up, packs all the stuff in there van & takes me to the patch, they even set everything up ( I made a SLEC folding model stand with a table for something to do when unwell) it took me a couple of weeks to make it a little each day but it’s great now I don’t have to bend over at the patch. I see a consultant on 30th May to see about an operation to put it right but long long waiting lists. Stay in touch and DO what I suggest, it will do you mental & physical state the world of good🤞🤞🤞🙏🙏

@@dannyporter888silverfox8 hey Danny, I’ve sent a long reply to your comments already but just speaking to my partner Sue who 9 years ago contacted bowl cancer. She needed a lot of radiotherapy & endless chemo before the y killed the cancer, unfortunately the amount of treatment was to much and the after effects were very bad, one of them being fibromyalgia (total body pain caused by damaged nerves) she was on strong pain killers including morphine which was turning her into a zombie at aged 53. She managed to keep asking for help & eventually her cancer consultant signed her up for a 5 week residential pain course at st Thomas’s hospital in London with about 8 other participants. It was life changing but not easy. She only take paracetamol now when she needs it along with many other drugs to keep the cancer damage. She is still in touch with all the other participants & has a strong support group. She told me to say to you Don’t TAKE NO for an answer, keep insisting for a place on the pain management residential program as it improved her life so much🤞👍🙏

@@dannyporter888silverfox8 hi Danny, you have 2 choices now after your horrendous accident. 1. To stay at home not doing very much or doing the things you love like flying & vloging thinking about what you can’t do….. you hopefully have a long life ahead of you, don’t let it be miserable & boring. 2. Start to manage things by doing what you can do, why not think about the content of a short vlog that you could make over a number of days then edit it to be coherent. THE MOST IMPORTANT THING is to manage your mental wellbeing though, contact your flying club & get someone to pick you up just for a social at the patch. Get on a pain management programme, start vlogs again. Get a mobility car to get you around, they are virtually free as my friend has one for dodgy knees. ask your doctor to help with your mental wellbeing ( not more bloody drugs though)Take control of your life & make it better🤞I had the worst flu ever & had the Jab, it lasted 5 weeks with constant coughing that gave me a hernia that hurts when I stand or bend. See the consultant 30May but long waiting list for the operation. So I made a SLEC folding model stand with table to take to the patch so I don’t need to bend much. It took2 weeks to make doing a little each day. some of the guys pick me up in there vans with all my stuff & take me to the patch on Wednesdays, they even set everything up for me too as long as I make the tea😁my eyes won’t get any better now so just fly a bit closer than I use to. KEEP in touch mate🤞
