Backpacking Two Mouth Lakes North Idaho Selkirks

This is a 4.5-mile hike to the stunning Two Mouth Lakes. The lakes are on a hanging valley on the top of the North Idaho Selkirk Crest. I've day hiked here twice before. Finally got to stay a night. Amazing!

Thanks for sharing your hike. I was in the Cabinets with Jess from HYOH-WU at the same time you were filming this one. My next stop was going to be the Selkirks but I baled and headed south to the Selway~Bitterroot wilderness to escape the smoke. Turned out to be a good decision. It was gorgeous weather, no fires (and no burn bans either) and I had Hoodoo Lake in Elk Summit all to myself for three days! Tom

Nice! I love Elk Summit. Hiked into Big Sand Lake a few years ago. I try to make it to the Selway-Bitterroot at least once every year as well as the Cabinets, Selkirks, and the Great Burn. Thanks for watching! Hike on!
