Glad I stumbled across this video and your channel. I'm in North Wingfield and I often run on the 5 pits trail and other places nearby. It was good to learn a bit more about the places I pass. 👍🏻🏃♂️

I've posted similar on the Clay Cross video. I can't recall whether it was Pilsley or Clay Cross, but can anyone recall there being a swimming baths, which was an old seemingly ramshackle building anywhere around here? When I was at Tibby school in the early to mid 70s, we went for a time to some baths around here somewhere for swimming lessons. The place was just a basic buiding with a pool and changing around the sides of the pool.

I think its more likely Clay Cross than Pilsley...unless you're thinking of Morton with the pit baths?

@@esseel7896 ... Don't know about a lido, but It may have been Clay Cross, I can't remember which really, but it was definitely one or the other. I know it didn't take too long to get there.

@@Tidybitz Same thing here mate, we were on bertrand avenue and it wasnt far at all from the baths it seemed. long time ago mind you so the mists of time may be fogging a bit haha

@@esseel7896 ... Ha! Yes, the mists of time definitely become foggy, but we definitely did go to some swimming baths around there. I used to bump into a woman occasionally in town where I live, who was in my class at school, I wish I could see her again now and ask her about this.

you'll soon be in Grassmoor. you'll have more views of the five pits trail, the local golf course, Barnes Park and the Avenue and Washlands nature reserves... not forgetting the school, methodist church, local shops and three take aways (a chinese, a regular chippy and a really good Indian) - not to forget it is the village I grew up in. (Though many of my historical family come from Pilsley).

I will indeed soon be in Grassmoor. It's coming soon. Within the next 17 weeks (as it has to, thanks to my new upload schedule!) but likely earlier than that. I already know which one in NE Derbys will be the last one and it ain't Grassmoor :D
