But on the other side with everything combined 1k in total for the device wouldn't be so unreasonable. It can't be that expensive if they managed to include it in the 600$ psvr2. @@MRTVDeutsch 1250€ inkl Steuern, oder vielleicht 1300€ inkl Steuern . Würde die Beyond für viele User überflüssig machen. Die alte Crystal (1 Gen) aber dann auch wenn man kein 60Gig Wireless Modul will. Bei dem Gewicht eh nicht wirklich gut, stell ich mir so vor. Die Option mit Augen Tracking wäre viel besser und ein guter Zwischenschritt bis zur überteuerten 1800€ oder sogar mehr inkl Steuern, was die Crystal (1 Gen) jetzt kostet. Auto IPD können sie weglassen, das kann man bestimmt auch mit Drehrädchen und Software die zeigt obs passt regeln!!! :)))

I was on the Pimax website earlier today and when I search for FOV lens these pre-order options for the Pimax Crystal Light popped up. I went ahead and placed an order for the Pimax Crystal Light with the Face Plate. Seeing how I already own the Base Stations and Valve Index controllers this seem like the best option. I was going to get a Used Crystal off of eBay for cheap but, now I can get a Brand New one direct from Pimax. I think this headset will be Good. Very Good! 😉👌 Note: My Quest 3 has 25 ppd and it is so sharp and beautiful to me, this Pimax Crystal Light has 35 ppd so I can only imagine how good it will look. I am excited.

I just pre-ordered the Lighthouse version. One thing that is disappointing is that they do not sell a bundle set that includes DMAS. I don't understand. If I were them, I would have offered DMAS for free as a pre-order benefit.

the question is if without eyetracking it will work fine with simracing? if I will turn my head left or right to see the side, will the image move and I will be able to see where I want to? I never had VR.

what you're talking about is head tracking not eye tracking. all vr headsets have head tracking. eye tracking has a camera inside the headset that tracks your eyes and determines what part of the screen you are looking at so only that part of the screen is rendered in max resolution. this should in theory greatly increase your FPS if the game uses this tech.

OMG they've spolied us with too many options! THE CEO NEEDS A RAISE LOL. My perfect combo is Headset without controllers and with lighthouse faceplate, but local dimming is only 100 bucks more so might as well grab that too! Some good takeaways are getting the LH faceplate for cheap via this bundle also lets you use it on the Crystal Super or the 12k once that comes out.

Thanks for the video and they sound nice on paper, but I will wait and see about these headsets on how is the actual quality on them, and how easy they are to setup and use. I still don't trust PIMAX headsets from reading past reviews and watching some user You Tube reviews on them. I am never the first one on the block to buy anything. I waited a while before I bought the Quest 3 to see how others liked them. And I like the Quest 3 so far for SIM racing , so why should I need one of these. i know many don't like Meta, but I really don't care what you think. The headset works for me. Take care.

Since this higher priced version uses OLED type lenses, how will the glare and MIRA be with the 799.00 dollar headset??? I think the 699.00 Crystal light uses LCD lenses, not sure. Also how is the sweet spot compared to a Quest 3 which I have?? Will be waiting for your great review of the Crystal Light headsets when you get them in May to test. They should bring out some new controllers which feel worthy and not like cheap plastic. Valve Index Controllers aren't comfortable for the thumb because the sticks are on the wrong side! You get cramps. Also many games aren't optimised for the index controller. That is the biggest problem. However there are mods to emulate quest controllers, ye.. I have index and love lighthouse but we are all lazy and just want to start and play without problems xD

Because, it wouldn’t work without controllers and no face plate tracking. The external tracking face plate alone is $250 so you’re getting the local dimming feature for free anyways. If you own base stations and controllers already this is the best option. If you don’t $699 is the best option without local dimming.

I currently own a Pimax5KSuper as my Main PCVR headset and My Quest 3 blows it out of the water as far has image quality goes. The Quest 3 connected to a PC is Beautiful. I ❤️ using my Pimax5KSuper due to having that large FOV. After watching reviews of both the Original Crystal and this Crystal Light. I believe, I will enjoy what the Crystal Light has to offer. Note: The Quest 3 has 25 pixels per degree and I think it looks Beautiful! This Pimax Crystal Light is offering 35 pixels per degree so I can only imagine how good it is going to look. I am excited. I like that it is direct plug in and with the Face Plate I can use my existing equipment. It is basically an upgrade for my PCVR setup. 😉👌

its not, they added 72hz when the released the pimax crystal sim edition. That was just OG Crystal without controllers for less money. And after that it was available on all crystals. And now they added 60hz mode for the Crystal Light.

I think the Pimax is slightly great, but not for me, it is too big with such a small vof, I would have preferred to pay a little more for more vof. So not a purchase for me. With flight and racing sims, the small vof finds it too irritating, with normal games I have I don't mind it that much.

QLED screen can be made bigger so the FOV is also larger. I believe the Crystal Light with QLED will have 115° to 120° FOV ( instead of 135° they advertise), and it should be immersive enough.

Not only QLED is bright, but also larger and less screen-door-effect. With local dimming it's the perfect choice for picture quality. I prefer glass lenses because the weight doesn't bother me anyway.

I have my high-quality USB DA converter for headphones, and prefer not to use other ways to hear the sound. DMAS is good, but nowhere near the sound from my planar headphones.

Because the OLED display is only 1 inch wide, which will limit the FOV. Plus Pancake lens will cause lots of light loss. QLED+Glass+Dimming will have better picture quality.
