I was watching this on the TV while eating dinner and had to stop and go in the other room to grab my phone to make this comment. As usual Derek hits it out the park and I’m hoping he gets a lot of views and comments on his budget cocktails because I think it’s a wonderful idea. Great job, and cocktails CMC. ❤

Great video. I didn't know there was another coconut cream - the Coco Lopez. I looked it up and it has less sugar than the Real brand at 20g per ounce, so 1.5 oz. would be 30g per drink. That's better ... but it's also loaded with preservatives... If I'm already getting pickled by the Rum I guess I'll just get even more pickled by the preservatives.

Yeah, we usually use coco lopez, but once you open it you pretty much have to use it (as it's a can, not a bottle).

Forgetting about price, this looks like a pretty good recipe. Most of the ones I've seen (and the couple I've used) have proportionately more pineapple juice and cream of coconut, which is sub-optimal in my opinion.

The price is why I never buy drinks when I go out and I never go to bars. I would rather drink with friends and family for cheap.

Now, mind you, when we got out with friends specifically to drink we will spend a lot of money, but it was with the understanding we were going to do so. :) And, we often each order something different, try other peoples to see what the "menu" tastes like, then order those we like the best on the next round, slightly cheaper (but not much ha!)
