Have a nice week everyone! Thanks for all the support. This videos was the continuition of the video I last uploaded 'Another Week in Trucking' . This video was taken the same day. I separated them because it's too long. On that day I dropped double Trailers and picked it up double Trailers. I keep same dolly from the Trailers I dropped to save some time. Picking up double Trailers and dropping them and connecting doubles takes all your time. Some yards has yard guy that connects the Trailers some don't and this terminal was one of them. In my opinion it's fun and sometimes it is not especially when you are low on hours. You lost driving hours and on duty time doing these' some yard don't understand but we deal with it.
What we do we picked up double Trailers that are connected already from our home terminal ( Shout Out to Norwalk Yard Guy) then we dropped them on our destination then picked up 2 trailers connect them by ourselves then deliver them 3 hours away, then back up 2 trailers into a door then pick up another set of trailers, connect them by ourselves. Lol, I hope your didn't get dizzy or hope your tongue didn't get twisted reading this. In short we connect and dropped trailers a lot in a day. ☺️

Great job. I used to run doubles and triples, did it for so long, I'd hook up the con gear to the first trailer and back the trailer and gear to a hook on my second trailer.

I know these trucks only of TV, KZbin and American Truck Simulator. I wish I could see such a truck by itself from in- and outside in a better way. We have also had about 10 or more takin from our truck. Everytime we forget to take it home for the weekend someone steals it before we get back on Monday

Gotta love landing gear that spins exactly when you turn it on them dry vans...I work flatbed in a dusty old yard and I swear every landing gear I attempt to move takes about 20 minutes 😂

At old dominion we have a dock lead who literally sets all the placards for each trailer as it gets closed out. So drivers don't have to set them. Makes things a lot faster for the drivers.

I ended my career hooking a dolly. Something I'd done thousands of times. Dollies without landing gear are dangerous . My right knee tore all the cartilage . After 44 years I became disabled in seconds. All the best to all ya still working

What a crazy trailer combo setup..........................................just to much work connecting Crazy !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Find a tractor semitrailer combo or truck and trailer combo to play with. That setup combo will aged you early if you and your husband keep it going wow, what a crazy setup. I did it also for a few years then when I was young with the trailers being tankers wow, it was a lot of work. No more ok, I'm retired now anyway and I enjoy life being retired now jeeeeeeeeeeeeee, finally ! TCB.

The way we drop our Trailers and pick up our next set . We will never have to back up to our back trailer with the dolly already connected. It would be silly and only take longer. When we get our new trailers they are always in a door next to each other. So we would have to pull the front trailer out and connect the dolly and then back into the back trailer. It's a waist of time. For me anyways. If I had to go look for my rear trailer it would be different. Thanks for Watching and for your comments
