There is a lot that went right in this video, if you know the river. Pretty much everything in the safety brief came into play and as a result everyone was safe. A lot of laughs and an incredible story to tell with the video edit to verify the tale.

Is the right side the normal run?

No, not at all. Very few people run what we have come to call "Pinball Skull." This is the chute on the right side and it is narrow. Maybe 6 feet wide. We call it PinBall Skull because when the sun hits it right you can see a distinct skull in the rocks on river right and if you hit is just right the skull looks directly river left and as you move close is looking right at you when you enter the chute.

Yeah I was just baffled that you tried to run that right side at all. With the log downstream I wasn't sure what the plan was going to be even if you had made it through the slot in the first place. I suppose the plan was a hard ferry left to the middle. Glad you had a good day and fun time despite the cluster...

@@FishTalesusa It is a really fun and safe line. I have run that line a few hundred times with zero issues but sometimes things don't go as planned. TBH we have actually done 14 - 360's in Pinball because we just want to see how many we could do. At this water level, probably 800 cfs, it is pretty slow and straight forward and that log does not come into play at all with reasonable paddling.
