One forfeiture property in Windemere only owed $30,000 in taxes and Pine County sold it for $265,000 and will not return the excess proceeds to the owner.

One Commissioner tries to downsize the price of this forfeited property, saying it has junk tires on it. Another Commissioner downplays the price of the forfeited property saying it is swamp land. It’s 45,000 acres valued at what? 40 million?

Pine County has taken property that shouldn’t have been forfeited also, wrong property description. Pine County sold it and then had to return it to the rightful owner.
