I use pine tar soup every Friday. I've noticed the pine tar soap from the stores isn't very dense. So the bar will dissolve in only 3-4 washes. I use luxurious pine tar soap. It's very dense and lasts a lot longer. Plus the small batch companies just feels like it's better quality. I also wash my entire body with it every Friday as well. It's made my skin feel better. I highly recommend pine tar soap. And yes lux has a hard time keeping stocked up. But he has his batches timed just right to were I never run out. I've been using it for a couple years now.

I just tried it today for the first time. The smell is familiar, reminds me of something my grandpa would use. Maybe because it's called Grandpa's Pine Tar soap? Either way, I like it. It's a very interesting smell. Thanks for the video and God Bless.

Serendipity...I just bought Pine Tar soap from Dr. Squatch a couple of weeks ago and decided this morning to wash my body AND my beard with it...FANTASTIC clean and fresh feeling all over. I then used conditioner on the beard as usual, and after blow-drying, oils and "good stuff." My beard looks, smells, and feels great. LOVE pine tar soap!

I’ve tried Luxurious PTS. I agree it’s very pungent smelling. I don’t like the smell personally, but I keep it for those times where you need to strip down ur beard. If you are planning on using it once a week it will last you a long long time. I’ve had the same bar for 6 months. It does work well on patches of Psoriasis too btw.

I think I got my wash routine finally sorted after 6 months of growing! Seven potions wash as a daily, seven potions beard conditioner a couple of times a week. Grandpa's Pine tar soap as an occasional strip. I haven't tried using no conditioner after pine tar soap as I assumed it was pretty much obligatory in order to protect the beard hairs when they are freshly stripped but I definitely will try it now!

Hey Teach? @3:16 when you say "get out of the beard" what do you mean? I must have missed that class that day or I just didn't take notes, can you expand on that? I use Dr. Squatch pine tar mainly because I started using their soaps when they first came out. I have nothing to compare it to as of yet because it's just convenient to buy since I'm already there. It sure strips alright. The very first time I used it (even used conditioner) I thought I caused damage. A little butter fixed me up just fine. Love me some pine tar.

I just got some Beard Octane Pine Tar soap, it smells nice but I have one issue with it.... It has no pine tar?! At least according to the ingredients and the smell.... I love Beard Octane but I think I'll be sticking with Grandpa's for my pine tar soap.
@DanCBearded
@DanCBearded 3 жыл бұрын
You are correct, it does not have the actual ingredient. It is more the final properties (pH level) and what it does, that makes it a “pine tar” soap. Very common now

I use Pinetop soap once every two weeks. Once I tried using the SP leave-in conditioner right after before bed. I didn't like the way it felt in the morning so that went out the window. My favorite thing to do is really exfoliate it the shower with P.T. soap and hit it with Chesapeakes Ultra CoWash. After that I use either my Uncle Donnies Vanilla Orchard or Man Beard Cabin Fever. I too really like the scent of P.T. soap. Maybe a good product scent down the road? Something to think about. Or a candle. Hmmmmmmmm Aweso.e video brother. #sayyestopinetar

Hello sir! I am also a teacher, however I am a first year Music teacher (specifically band). My question isn’t related to the pine tar soap, so I do apologise. My question is whether or not you have tried any CBD infused beard oils? Fable Beard Co has an oil infused with CBD cleverly named “The Grower”. Just curious as to your thoughts on these types of oils and whether or not they have any benefits or disadvantages!

I just found your videos after a family member suggested I look into them. I'm newer to the beard game and I am enjoying the journey. Question: I have found that most products contain either aloe vera (washes) or coconut oils (oils and butter), which my spouse is allergic to, can you recommend products that don't have either? I figure if anyone would know, it'd be you.
