@@jeet809 by me start from brewing wine by using wine yeast which is specially designed for wines only, brewing beer is lengthy, expensive and typical process. you can purchase wine yeast online or even you can purchase from me too. I have Lalvin EC 1118 yeast with me.

Sir use funnel with filter paper. It is easily available and it will help you a lot… there will not be single piece of yeast in your drink 🍺 use more than 2 filter papers at once for better filteration

Filtering With filter paper is not a good idea .... that will take a lot of time to filter which is not good for wine, the wine will turn sour due to more exposure to the air.

Don't use refractometer to take readings after fermentation as alcohol will throw the readings off by several Brix. Use only Hydrometer after fermentation and refractometer only before fermentation starts.

What is Original Gravity - Final Gravity = ABX

@@Dash10ism , it is ABV (% alcohol by volume), not ABX. Original gravity (OG) measures how much sugar is present in the wort before it is fermented. The final gravity (FG) is how much sugar is left over after fermentation is done. The size of the gap between OG and FG can therefore be used to calculate how much alcohol the beer contains (as sugar is converted to alcohol by yeast). The equation is: ABV% = (OG-FG) * 131.25 For eg, if your OG is 1.066 and your FG is 1.002, then, ABV% = (1.066-1.002)x131.25 = 8.4 %
