Pinewood derby Fundamentals

In this video I'll go over a few fundamentals of pinewood derby racing. I'll go over potential energy, friction, weight distribution, wheel weight, and rail riding!

Mike - I would just add one thing about weight height since it's going to be scouts and their parents primarily viewing this. There is more potential energy in having the weight low in the car than there is by placing the weight higher up on the body. The bottom of the car actually drops further(!) than the top! Well done video!

Great video! We(daughter) have a race this weekend. I built a railrider this showed me im still in need of aome work. She won over all last yr. She should do it again this year
