They are expensive, but I have another 30+ acres to brush cut. When I added up the cost vs. renting a skid steer with a forestry barrel, it will save some money. Plus, I can later sell it; I can't sell a rented machine.

agree! We say the same thing about our excavator! kzbin.info/www/bejne/mZDPn4ytfsygipo

Yeah it seems like a machine that only has one use, clearing bush/brush. I think you could base a business on this machine, clearing out land for a price lower than it takes a skid steer. However this sort of work will be tougher on a tractor than mowing grass or ploughing land with it.
@lostnwalmart9110Ай бұрын
Love watching this machine work! I bet some skid plates would be a good piece of mind for it with how it launches things under you.

I've got some Zook Welding guards underneath protecting my filters. You just have to be careful and always listen to your nose! If you smell oil or fuel, stop and investigate!!
@russellbruney1997Ай бұрын
Be very careful with out fall protection on tractor if you bump the wrong tree or hang a vine and a widow maker comes down.

That’s crazy awesome!! 😮 Way better than my bush hog! I don’t have that much horse power on my T264. I’m gonna have to trade up!

It's a wicked machine!

Nicely done!

Thanks Ed. It's hard on the tractor, but man, it can do some work!

When something gets caught in the mulcher all you have to do is disengage the PTO, lower the mulcher to the ground, and drive forward to release it. Sometimes it takes a couple tries but it sure is a lot easier than doing it by hand!
@PineyGroveHomesteadАй бұрын
Sometimes it will clear itself, but sometimes it gets bound up like this.

Wait until you see the next mulcher video, Mike. What we did with this thing is amazing!

That mulched would be really efficient when used with your grapple

I can see working with two tractors rather then pulling brush by hand!

Man where did you get the chain guard from .i can’t find one no where? Good video by the way

It came on this mulcher. I think they all do from Baumalight??? My JD finish mower has chains in the back too.
@tonyparris5278Ай бұрын
Have you asked them about the mini ex mulcher, or does your mini have enough hydraulic flow
@PineyGroveHomesteadАй бұрын
They make one that will fit our KX71. I'm debating on whether to get it or not!
@jaycevessier7554Ай бұрын
I couldn’t sit there and look backwards all day. If they can’t make something to attach to the front, I’ll stay with a skid steer
@PineyGroveHomesteadАй бұрын
We don't have a skid steer.

For the healthiest tree growth, you'll want to space them no less than 12' apart.
@PineyGroveHomesteadАй бұрын
I think they do 7' here in Florida, then they 3rd row thin for pulp trees after 10 years or so. I reckon my son will sell these for lumber one day!

100%. Here we use the brush hog in a similar situation: kzbin.info/www/bejne/aH3XfH-CgtyGiKc

Not for me, It looks dangerous and slower then the excavator would be.
@JtwizzleАй бұрын
Might be quicker but then you still need to deal with the pile of brush. This does it all in one.

Then don't watch. Most of us enjoy listening to his experience with a piece of equipment which helps us decide if that might be something I would consider buying. Plus we can learn from whatever mistakes he points out. Don't see you putting out any content.
