The content I create is meant for those who already have an understanding of cold process soap making. Cold process soapmaking involves working with sodium hydroxide (NaOH, also referred to as lye). Hi! This recipe took a bit longer than usual to reach a medium trace despite the steep water discount. Once it finally did, the soap moved fast to a thick trace. Do you like using water discounts or do you prefer to use more water? I typically don’t go higher than a 40% lye concentration just because I always want my soap to gel, and it’s difficult to make that happen at my lower soaping temps. I look with attention your videos becuse i think you are very careful in your work so i can learn a lot of advices. I will ask to you about soda ash: in this video you use a high concentration of lye solution. I usually use 30% but often on my soaps soda ash is formed. In the last soaponifications ( 100% olive oil) i used 32% and 33%. I hope this strategy makes better. I thank you, You are for me a really teacher! Tank you much!
