I was 17 at that time. I already knew a lot of their music. Also, it was the first and the last time that Pink Floyd played in my country. I knew they were coming, I was a fan and I didn´t go to the concert. You can imagine how I feel 😀

It also shows that David is a great human being without a massive ego and loves to see those around him succeed. He truly is one of a kind and you could see just how thrilled Tim was to get that chance. It really was wonderful to see something like that.

The song is part of a concept album called "The Wall". It tells a very intense story of a rockstar going slowly insane. There are three parts to "Another Brick in the Wall", you just heard pt 2 the very famous disco-ie sounding one. You have to listen to the whole album to hear the shorter darker versions 1& 3. All the songs off the album are part of a larger concept that has more meaning when listened to in context of the album. Hope one day you get to have the full experience.

If you want to see Pink Floyd in their prime as a four-man band (what you see here are three of the original members [the soloing guitarist, the gray-haired keyboardist and the older drummer] plus a slew of touring musicians), definitely do a reaction to the Floyd performing the song "Echoes" in the film " Pink Floyd: Live At Pompeii". It is a concert film of the group performing songs live in the ampitheater of Pompeii's ruins back in 1971.

I was so lucky to see Pink Floyd 4 times, including the Pulse tour, all 4 times I walked out thinking that was the best show I ever saw. The 2 shows in the 70s at the old Boston Garden with Roger Waters still in the band had to be as memorable as any, as the first time they did an expanded set of of Dark Side of the Moon and also encored with Echoes, the in 1977 they did all of Animals followed by all of Wish You Were Here, David Gilmour was on fire at those shows and you can hear them on You Tube. I also saw them in 1987 and 1994 for the Pulse Tour. I also Saw David twice in the same week in the mid 1980s for his solo tour for his second, solo album and also saw Roger Waters twice with Floyd and 4 times solo, his first tour after leaving Floyd saw him do the Pros and Cons of Hitchhiking tour with Eric Clapton on lead guitar, do his own interpretations of David Gilmour's famous leads. The last time I saw Roger, he was out with the Wall, a totally mesmerizing performance. Yeah, I'm a huge fan, have been since Ummagumma came out in 1969. You really should not just do random songs with them, their albums, starting with Meddle, through Dark Side of the Moon, Wish You Were Hear, Animals and finally, The Wall, should be heard in their entirety, all the tunes mainly transition into the next and you ruin the flow and won't get the Big Story they are trying to tell if you just listen to random songs from their catalog. At the least, hear them on your own time but they would make great reactions and get you many extra eyeballs. Their are many reasons they are in my top 5 musical acts ever in any genre, they are that good. Enjoy! 🎵🎸🎤🎹🎷🎶

Hi Inna, I was lucky enough to experience that concert at the Alamo Dome in San Antonio, Texas in 1994. I took my son and daughter, and yes it was definitely an experience. Pink Floyd and Nightwish are my two all time favorite bands. There is however one more band I also love, and that is The Grateful Dead. You should check them out some time. They were a legendary band from the U.S. They always had a huge following that were called "Deadheads." I was one of them to an extent. They were one of the premier improv jam bands around.

Pink Floyd's attention to detail is wonderful ... the two black female singers are both American (and they're sisters) but they are singing "we don't need no education" in an English accent, and more specifically, a London accent, just like on the album.

It is always awesome to watch and hear Pink Floyd at a live concert. And I always think back of 1988 when I had the honour to be at the live concert in Rotterdam. I will never forget it. The double album The Wall is a concept album with a narrative. If you listen to the entire album you will understand where this part of Another brick in the wall ... on the album there are 3 parts ... fits in the narrative of the album.

The song is of the album the wall this was a concept album the whole album tells a story and although it may seem short it leads into another track that continues the story. It's in fact another brick in the wall part two. part one proceeds it and part three follows it with other tracks in-between all three parts.

Great reaction! I saw them twice on that ‘94 tour. Singer/guitarist David Gilmour said the Hollywood Bowl was one of their favorite venues and that’s what this stage is… an exact-size replica of the Hollywood Bowl. It took two days to construct so they had two of them and while they performed in one city, the second stage was being built in the next city… after, the first stage would then travel to the following city. Imagine the expense.

This song is fantastic.. but the real reason it has passed the test of time is because the lyrics are so VERY important, especially nowadays where all you see on twitter and tik tok is teacher trying to indoctrinate their class kids into whatever ideology they themselves believe!

A listener has to listen to the entire track (comprised of 3 parts ... and later add-on track) - "Another brick in the wall Pt. 1"/ "Happiest days of our lives" / "Another brick in the wall Pt. 2" ... The live clip only had "Another brick in the wall Pt.2". The track was written by bassist/ vocalist Roger Waters about his upbringing in Cambridge during post-World War II England... Waters felt like the teachers in his school were more inclined to instill their students w/ their own cynicism and frustrations, rather than educate them... So, it was an angry retort against those educators of his youth... This 1979 album 'The Wall' is considered a masterpiece by Pink Floyd, but David Gilmour (guitar & vocals) was not happy w/ it and found Roger Waters becoming more isolated and difficult... refusing to collaborate w/ the band on music. Waters would (mostly) work on songs alone and bring them to the others to play without any input. Roger Waters admitted that fame & money did not bring him any happiness... instead, it drove a wedge between him and Pink Floyd (Waters quit the band by 1984) ... By 1978, things got so bad that Waters would often berate the audience at Pink Floyd concerts and then, Rick Wright (keyboards) was fired... Wright did the shows for 'The Wall' but was shown the door right after. Unable to come to grips w/ his own misery and isolation from the band members and their fans, Waters pitched the concept of 'The Wall' to the band... it was an album that was semi-autobiographical - tracing his life from birth, losing his father in World War II, raised by a single mom, living in the aftermath of World War II, leaving Cambridge for London and starting a band and career... his descent into delusion and isolation ("The Wall" became a metaphor for Roger Water's isolation) It was eventually made into a fictional movie - 'The Wall'... Actor Bob Geldof played a rock star named 'Pink' in the movie who descends into madness and fascism... A few scenes in the movie were inspired by real experiences w/ Pink Floyd's founder Syd Barrett, who left the band after suffering a mental breakdown and descended into madness. When Pink Floyd reunited in 1987, Roger Waters was not asked back... and he sued the band to keep them from using the name Pink Floyd (he lost)... David Gilmour, Rick Wright and drummer Nick Mason of Pink Floyd were joined by session musicians for the last 2 albums and tours.

You can be sure that David Gilmour and Rodger Waters has experimented with every conceivable composition for their music and they have composed their songs perfectly to the concepts they created for each album, keep in mind that their classic albums were all theme based, they each had a story or theme concept and each song bled into the next one seamlessly according to the whole story. Another Brick in the wall is just a chapter in the story (album) concept that is The Wall. When you listen to the album you will see how it all perfectly fits together. Great reaction Inna, Love your enthusiasm and presentation... and I'll add your adorableness 😊🌹

Hahaha just like us old timers, we always wanted more in their songs yet it's satisfying just the way it is. Pink Floyd has an awesome way of transporting you to a different universe. And...I must say, listening to them on headphones is awesome because they have so many subtle notes that sometimes you don't hear. Like Wish You Were Here when he sings....just a little pin prick... and there's a bell type note that not many people notice. Love that you love them.👍💯🇨🇦

The song is part of 'The Wall' concept album. The protagonist of the album had a father who never came back from World War 2, a mother who is overprotective, and with this song, we see that he's having to put up with sadistic school teachers. And this is just the start of the album.

Listen to entire album The Wall (1979), it's full story 82 min. Author of lyrics Roger Waters left band in 1983 and is not on the Pulse concert (1994). Here is David Gilmour guitar, Rick Wright keyboards, Nick Mason drums and additional instrumentalists and choir voices. Other 3 PF classic concept albums: The Dark Side of the Moon (1973), Wish you were here (1975), Animals (1977). If you want fully understand listen to entire albums. To see arly PF go to Live at Pompei movie (1972).

Roger Waters was the lyricists for the Wall album. He was the only member of the post Sid Barrett PF not performing at this concert. Yes, a band out of this world! It seems you've already realised that, when you react to Pink Floyd, you're not reacting to any band! You're reacting to one of the greatest rock bands ever! Second, when you say it seems something is "missing" that's why you're reacting to a song from a concept album; so, you won't feel this way about it if you listen to / react to the whole album! And, of course, there are many songs to be suggested: "Time"; "Money"; "Us and them"; "Brain damage"; "Comfortably numb"; and the old and underrated "Summer 68" and "If" - such great songs no one uses to react to.
