I'm a rideshare driver and I was playing Pink Floyd all night last night song in my car and I remembered that I once saw an amazing acoustic cover of this song. So when I came home and searched for it, I laughed when I realized it was one the most talented fingerstyle players I've ever seen. Like it could have been anyone else. ;) Your finger work on that second solo is just jaw dropping.

It is no mean feat to take on a song from one of the rock gods of our generation, and to smash it out of the park! Acoustic, just rocks! In the right hands, and these hands ARE the right hands to absolutely punch this out with all the depth, grit, guile, energy, focus and power delivered by the whole Pink Floyd band is an absolute JOY to listen to, as loud as you dare, and in a darkened room, you are transported back to beginning of the universe, as it explodes, crashes, twists, turns and finally settles! Genius in the writing, performing and now in the re-performing. Fantastic again Gabrielle, chapeau, chapeau, chapeau!

The reason that you are one of the top acoustic guitarists in the world is that, in addition to your immense technical ability, you have the ability to retain the 'soul' of the music you play. Any good guitarist can learn a David Gilmour lick, but to keep the divine feel of the inspiration intact is an unteachable gift. You possess that elusive 'it' that we seek so fervently in our artists and heroes. Thank you for sharing it with us.

In the small mining town of Phandalin, 40 miles along the Triboar Trail from the Sea of Swords, is an inn run by Toblen Stonehill and his wife Trilena. The inn is popular among the residents and sees less of the violent trade often plied in the town's other inn, The Sleeping Giant. What makes the Stonehill Inn a fine establishments is it's hearty food, especially the Pickleberry Pie, and the warm company. What makes it truly special though is the beautiful half-elf bard, Gabriella, and her music which is far too good for a little village such as Phandalin. What very few know is that Gabriella is no normal half-elf. She is actually one of the gods that often take time to visit the continent of Faerun bringing her magic with her. In summary, whenever my D&D group goes into a tavern I play Gabriella's "lute" to them and they have no idea.

Gabriella Quevedo has this absolutely uncanny ability to take a well known hit song and turn it into her own. But the best part about that fact is that she knows exactly what elements of the song to keep in her own rendition that made the tune a huge hit in the first place. All the familiar parts you love and look forward to hearing are there. While at the same time Gabriella's heart and her own unique style turn that song into something else that is as equally entertaining and as thought provoking as the original. Her arrangements never fail to make an old hit song fresh and new and interesting. The sound she's getting from her amp and her guitars are so rich and so inviting that I always become thoroughly involved when I listen to her work. Then finally... when she looks into the camera and flashes that beautiful one of a kind smile of hers that smile in and of itself never ceases to make my heart melt. Gabriella Quevedo is what romantic dreams of living happily ever after are made of. Take care. sincerely, Dean O. :-I

That solo... I think that the hardest thing to do in a Pink Floyd cover it's to emulate the soul that Gilmour pour on each note that he plays, and you did it perfectly, everything from the original solo was there. It's pretty hard to achieve the precision of Gilmour's bends on a acoustic guitar, plus the gauge on those string seems to be quite heavy which makes it even harder, but you nailed it. It really shows how much effort you put into this. I really appreciate, as a hardcore Pink Floyd fan, the time that you took to make this happen.

Yes Exactly, an amazing product of much practice and patience and nurturing from her great father, as is apparent and much credit is here in these forums to him for inspiring her but she chose this path, Have you ever witnessed someone so Fluid at what they are great at? I like to watch some of the chord shapes almost crossed fingered, and the bends she makes and gets technical with. But the mind boggling thing is how does someone remember so many songs or even just one of these, is she reading from sheet music?

Órale! No había oído y visto un arreglo de esta canción en este estilo y menos con mi guitarrista de confianza. Que buena interpretación. Saludos cordiales 😸

The music is great and your playing is flawless but it's the smile at the end that's truly the most satisfying, you know you've done so well... be proud.

siempre me parecieron super graciosos estos videos de chicas tocando muy bien y mirando a camara sonriendo mientras tocan, distrayendo al que mira y dejando en un segundo plano a la musica para llamar la atencion con su linda sonrisa, bravo!

Your cover of the solo at the end is AMAZING! BRAVO!! David Gilmour would be proud

I don't think David Gilmour could do that.

@@kustomkode David Gilmour could play the solos - he might even outshine her on the soloing if he really put his mind to it - but he would have trouble with the voicings and alternate tunings she uses for the main parts of the song. Overall you're right because Gilmour would ultimately give up and thus be unable to play her version of it. Roger Waters would never be able to play that. He plays simply, even though he co-wrote the song.

First time i hear the solo on acoustic guitar. So different than electric guitar. What a beautiful song on fingerstyle. Thank you so much Gabriella :-)

Bravo! Every time I watch and hear Gabriella play, it leaves me wanting more. Such grace, ease, and grace. I can't help but see the connection she shares with her guitars as her fingers utilize different areas to achieve the sounds she desires. Thank you very much for taking the time to share your beautiful and amazing gift and talent.
