Thank you for Posting this, My first concert, and a memorable event. I also remember the Plane crashing into the Left upper corner of wall. Thanks for sharing this memory.....

parts of the plane were made to break off, and other parts were aluminum. Once the plane passed the "wall" the fireworks went off as though it crashed.

I rode the truss down from the ceiling. the fireworks fell into the drapes attached to a 100' long truss and started to smolder. Small pieces of fabric falling down over the band. Once the show was stopped, We rode the truss down, cut out the smoldering drape, and took the truss back up to trim. The show went on. We got a standing ovation. Theatrical Riggers.

yep and I remember when they came back on stage...everything they used to put the fire out got on the band equipment...just layered with pieces of the curtain.. charded and the substance that they used.. anyway, then they started the concert all the way from the very beginning! 🎶

Were you one of the gents straddled on the curtain truss keeping the fire under control with a hand-held fire extinguisher? I was in the center section, row 11, so thank you for keeping us all safe that evening.

Nice save, Rog: "Wasn't that exciting..." I've heard about this happening and often wondered what the initial reaction was from the crowd was. Apparently, they all thought it was part of the show.

I was there and yes most there thought it was part the show. It happens towards the very beginning of the show

When Waters did The Wall here in Dallas, TX., they had to delay everyone from entering the arena due to the fire alarms going off....not related, but thought that was an odd coincidence
