Wright's organ in Echoes. Best thing I've ever heard.

One of the most beautiful musical pieces ever written, and yet it's so simple. The sound plays a huge part here. You played it perfectly, both technically and sonically. So beautiful... I enjoy playing the guitar part to this video!

I love the later explosive live version of Echoes II right after when your video cut off. :) Gdansk live 2009, I think, was amazing. But ofcourse - Thank you (L) for recreating this.... it's beautiful, haunting.... sincere.

I call it ascension part because it is the feeling I get when I listen to it. Officially, Pink Floyd, haven't named this part at all. Initially the whole song was called "Nothing" with something like 26 parts, then it became The Sons of Nothing, The Return Of The Sons of Nothing, also "Looking Through the Knotholes in Grannys Wooden Leg"

I would recommend to read Nick's "Inside Out" book if you did not. Where he tells about early 70s and explains how Sons of Nothing appeared. That's very interesting! And one of them recently has appeared in KZbin as well... And thanks for sharing with video, sound and performance are just great! it's recorded from speakers right, not line in?

This is so good. And the sound of a week cared for Farfisa takes you on moon walks. It is a haunting entity on it's own.

Turn off: Strings 16, 8 and 4 and 2and 2/3 and brilliant. But you can choose your own sound by adding strings 4... The sound remains quite similiar. Rick uses both the farfisa without Leslie and the piano and hammond organ (M 102) with the leslie speaker. ;)

This really inspired me to recap and clean my compact duo to get it working properly again. I remember using the oboe tab only, with vibrato, gets some sounds from the piper at the gates of dawn. chapter 24 and scarecrow i think

Very nice, gotta love that sound man! Why is it an "Ascension Solo"? Wikipedia also says something about an ascending solo, but I don't understand what it means, since the tones do not like constantly ascend.. ?
@zakguitar23592 жыл бұрын
Ascension as in "buildup", as it builds up to the climax of the song
