I have this album still. I've treasured it since I purchased it in 1973. It's only a few feet away from me.

@lolafox1808 Not in its shape. I lent this album to a friend of mine. He didn't take care of it, in fact, he used it like a floor mat. I listened to it scratches and all for decades to follow until I thought of looking it up online in the 2000s. I found it and purchased a copy. So, l have both of them. I wouldn't throw my original one. The one I sent for online unfortunately isn't complete. For instance, in the song "Green Is The Colour" the song ends when the song turns to the musical part which I'm thinking is a version of "Careful With That Axe Eugene." At any rate, that entire piece is missing from the original which is what this video is. The picture on this video is exactly what I have from my in store purchase back 73'. I still have that in great shape. I haven't hunted for another copy for a long time, but there may still be copies to purchase. Hard to say what they may be like though.

Originally aired on KQED PBS television in SF, CA, USA the afternoon before their concert at the Fillmore. Later released by KQED on VHS as "AN HOUR WITH PINK FLOYD". Excellent performance. Loved it for over 50 yrs now.

KZbin sound has suddenly become quite low. I've got this max volume, but, it's still low. It's not only this channel. This happened a few days ago with everything I'm listening to, anyway.

I was baffled when I found out that the song"Incarsuration of a Flower Child "was released in 1999. I'm still searching for the title of the mid 60s song composed mainly by Roger,with the baroque-like keyboard melody and trippy 3 minute middle 8 guitar solo. It had a nice beat and was enjoyable to listen. The OUTRO had remnents from the Committee LP parts 1 and 2 and this song did not appear on any Floyd commercial LP.. Few lyrics were sung so it wasn't a complete instrumental. Does any title come to anyone's mind?😮

its so odd to me how people dont find it strange that they basically kicked syd out the band then spent the next 5 years doing a slightly tamer syd impression
@SurfingTheSoundwaves Жыл бұрын
That's a valid point Parker, and I can't argue it. My only discrepancy may be that I'm not sure if it's entirely accurate to say that it was the band that booted Syd, or if it really was Syd's psychosis and unreliability at the end that gave them no choice.
@parkerthompson5874 Жыл бұрын
@@SurfingTheSoundwaves First, im just going to say this - people with psychosis dont have the capacity to write songs and record them. but anyway, in any endeavor, new ideas typically come from strange/particular people, like syd.. I imagine Syd was caught off guard that his band, whom all the ideas were coming from (quote from Nick mason, their landlord in 1965, etc) would give him the boot, like Ringo and George giving Paul or John the boot.... but didn't seem to have the need for a public or private reaction to it. I think he was bored of label and tv performances anyway. Syd seemed to be trajecting towards the avant garde genre , performance art direction - Roger waters was wanting belonging to the psychedelic rock scene that was becoming commercially and culturally successful . AKA, I think they took stuff like 'interstellar overdrive', and some other of syd's ideas, and ran, when syd's songwriting was not what they wanted it to be. I think the 'cool kids' booted the kid they grew up with from the lunch table when they felt like he wasn't cool anymore.
