If that solo had continued for another 10 minutes, it would still not have been long enough. Love this recording.

Great reaction!! I agree David Gilmour is a special guitarist, he touches your soul. I love every one of David's solos, but this maybe my favorite. I listen to Floyd every day and they have been by far my favorite band since 1972 when I heard Meddle. More please.

The British invasion at its best. I am conquered and proud to be. You're right that David isn't the fastest or most spectacular guitarist to watch, but he is by far the most spectacular to listen to.

If --- and he does play the most wonderful guitar, he can hit the other licks . Truth is-- he doesn't need to. He is so far good beyond enough .

Something majestic about every David Gilmour solo! Shout out to the lovely backup singers, (can I say lovely?), especially the one on the end, near the end of the song! Sheese,...

Absolutely mind boggling, they defy any category and David Gilmour can wring out more emotion with one note than anyone else can in an entire album, this is as close as being hypnotized by music that you can actually get.

Years ago I read in a guitar magazine that David Gilmour is deemed the Undisputed Dean of the Compound Bend and his note placement is pretty much flawless. He admits that he never was a fast playing guitarist. But what he lacks there, he sure does make it up with with his amazing talent everywhere else. When I was a teenager, I picked up a guitar for the first time because of him. Best damn guitarist in my opinion. 🎶

Hey Lee! Glad to see another reaction from you! So you have never seen or heard this performance, eh? Only those at the concerts back in the 1980s had seen it before because this has the bonus of about 4 more minutes of guitar solo that was not on the original 4x3 VHS and DVD versions of this. This was only remastered and re-released in 2019, this time on wide screen Blu-ray. This is the finest version of any Pink Floyd concert ever presented for sale to the public. In my and many other's opinion, this is David Gilmour's best guitar solo, surpassing even that of "Comfortably Numb." We need more Sohyang reactions from you! How about this one called "I Always Miss You" from 2012, in Korean. This is incredible, and you already know that Sohyang is the best female voice on the planet! So you will not be disappointed by this astounding performance! It starts at the 4:28 mark. kzbin.info/www/bejne/j2aYaJd-gaiajqs&pp=ygUZc29oeWFuZyBpIGFsd2F5cyBtaXNzIHlvdQ%3D%3D

Heya Lee, seems like I've had a rash of KZbin unsubscribing me from channels i follow regularly. I was kind of wondering why I haven't seen anything from you in a while.🤔 That said, this is one of the most emotional tracks they've ever created beside 'Great Gig in the Sky'. They use a string pad synth in the beginning like you thought, and the addition of the acoustic guitar, and later on, the heavenly backing vocals, provide a complete 'Eargasm' of sound culminating in David Gilmour's guitar solo that just tears a hole in your soul! Absolute masterpiece, and so well done as a live performance!😍 🤘😎🤘

David's voice and guitar playing are a amazing loved them since the early 70 although Roger waters writing was fantastic gilmour took that roll from 86 and his writing was just as moving, I also remember sid Barrett in the 60 but unfortunately when he got ill david took his place in 67 with floyd they are story tellers and dame good ones they very reary released a single, took me till I was out of my teens to realise the message they were conveying just brilliant....

If you watch Echoes live at Pompeii recorded 1971 and released 1972 and the movie released 1973.........you will see a young David Gilmore with straight brown hair over his shoulders. Oh........and the music is just as good as any from the Pulse concert 1994. lol
