Musicians don’t really know how much a single piece of music “moves us”. Example, it was the song that was playing when my mother passed, or it was the song that my kid said they wanted to learn how to play for me since I 0lay the song so much. They just know they play it thousands of times and it might make them numb to have to play it again......but I play this at least weekly.....and never get tired of it... thanks for a beautiful rendition of this timeless classic.

I first heard this song aged 12 (1975) on a vinyl record of DSOTM. I'm 56 now and I still can't get my head around the utter genius of the Floyd. Thank you, that was a fabulous rendition. I did manage to see The Wall live at Earls Court twice in 1981.

Truer words never spoken. DSOTM has Richard's signature all over it. It was and remains his album - imo. I used to think it was Gilmour's and it wasn't until I learned to play piano did I realize that the album was really a machination of Wright imagery with Gilmour's structure. In that way, Wright was key in this album and way more than previously thought. Put even more simply, the parts I can recall best on the album - are his.

I bought a keyboard to play that. It worked, not as great as Vik obviously, but it did. So many things happen in this piece. The tapes of Zabriskie Point that were found in Rome contained a long improvisation by Rick Wright alone, in the same mood as "the violent sequence".

The best arrangement and performance of this composition I have ever heard. Good sound engineering, too. I so wish the view of the piano keys was not upside down, though. Very, very wonderful musician, performance slightly marred by a terrible choice of camera angle.
