Pink is awesome! I'm 53 and she and Lady Gaga were the first artists that drew me into listening to today's music, Billboard's top 100, that sort of thing. It's my opinion that she is underappreciated by the biz, for her extreme talent, feistiness and just being perfect in all she tries. Either that or they're all just f-ing jealous. Probably both!!! "Perfect" should be required viewing for every middle school to high school girl. It broke my heart into a million pieces, but I made sure that both of my daughters saw it. (Side note: while I remember when LaBelle released "Lady Marmalade" and have always loved it, I also love the "Moulin Rouge" version...when they performed it on an awards show & Ms LaBelle showed up, I burst into tears I was so happy.)

Pink was the first CD I ever bought. It was her first album and she has been an inspiration to me. I love her style and fearless and unapologetic middle finger to what society considers normal and acceptable. I would love to meet her and tell her that she will always be a legend. I've loved Pink ever since her first album. I love her raspy voice, her songwriting ability, her on point videos and her personality. She is a singer that you can look up to and admire. Love P!nk!!!! One of the stories I like to share with people was the single “Who Knew”. Long story short…. When the album “I’m Not Dead” was released she was in a critical place in your career. When “Who Knew” her second single flopped initially, people were beginning to write her off. Then something happened, “Who Knew” was featured in ads for the ABC show “October Road” and it began to gain traction entering in the 90s of the hot 100. It wouldn’t be until the unexpected success of “U+Ur Hand” that they re-released “Who Knew” and it ultimately became a top 10 hit and peaked at the same chart position as “UUH” at #9.

The songs of Alicia have picked my up from a depression, multiple times. When the song 'Please don't leave me' came out, that song (for me) quickly changed to 'Please P!nk don't leave me'. Whenever I got down I popped in M!ssundaztood! or Funhouse. She still is my go to artist to get my feelings lifted. As for memes... I think it was during the I'm not dead- tour, that one of my most fond memories of her happened. She just left Carey, and was touring Europe. While in The Netherlands, she stopped to speak to the audience multiple times. At one of the intermissions, she stopped to change backstage. When running back, someone threw something pink an fallic looking on stage. She quickly stopped to turn around and pick it up, held it high and flopped it around high in the air, to show it being a dildo, screaming in the mic: "What the F**! What the F** is this! You're sick!" - She smiled wide and took it with her though 😘 I bought all albums and Live registrations, went online to get the additional world wide bonus tracks (I love Hooker, Fingers, I touch Myself and Push you away) and have a shirt for every show I've seen in real life. I'm always happy to be able to get a new addition to the collection. More weapons to get depression fought back.

One thing I love about Pink, and to remember when listening to stupid girls, is that she is very clear in interviews that her problem is with the 'stupid girl' culture, and not the people themselves. She even says she knows that the women she 'called out' in the video are actually incredibly intelligent, they're just playing into the toxic culture and she can't support that.She is so supportive of everyone, even those people say she 'clearly hates'.
