it’s like a full circle for the Disney princesses. Snow white’s optimism, joy and kindness was a breath of fresh air during the great depression, showing the need to believe in goodness. Now theres Alicia, someone living in economically difficult times but never gives up hope.

Already 10 times better than wish. Edit: Thanks for the likes my dudes. I want to clarify something. The reason why I’m saying that it’s 10 times better than wished is because finally the towns people have a personality and this song set up a type of stakes and we understand what the town people are going through and what’s at stake here. I probably should’ve given wish a fair shake however, Disney has been notorious for quite some time for not putting their best foot forward, and not really understanding what makes their past storytelling so great. From the trailers, the town people seemed really boring or uninteresting. Disney doesn’t really give us a reason why these people are so miserable here at least. For this fan remake,You can see why the town people desire for a wish and why they really want to become better or seek out different opportunities. They are working their hearts out and are clearly unhappy. In Wish, it is less obvious that the towns people are unhappy. They seem perfectly fine, and if anything, there’s not really any stakes to win to see them succeed. And I understand. That a lot of you, might like wish and that is perfectly fine. Heck, I like movies that a lot of people either find uninteresting, or have really bad storytelling and characters. However, I am sick of Disney, trying to replicate their storytelling without understanding what made their storytelling so good and wishes one of those where I feel like they clearly didn’t understand why people love Disney and what made their storytelling so good I am not going to support a company, that constantly forgets who they are, and are not living up to their creative potential.

The plot lacked creativity (not to mention the plot holes), the characters weren't interesting, and the songs either didn't fit the characters singing them or just didn't make any sense. And Disney had millions to do it plus all of the resources needed to make it good. Meanwhile, this unfinished music video is already 10x better than the entirety of Wish. The songs are good (The At All Cost rewrite is my favorite), actually sounded (and is written) like it belonged to a proper Disney movie. And wa was made using the skills of volunteers and donations from supporters without the resources that Disney has :)

Welcome to Rosas made me feel like they're wasting my time because they told me all that stuff in the opening story book. With this project tho, there's the opening story book but this opening song is not just repeating. We are introduced to the protagonist and how SHE is as a character. It's great to see, where as Asha was bland and I couldn't tell you anything about her from her opening song.

I love how her character is 3 dimensional. She is the most cheerful and optimistic individual but looks out of touch in people’s pain and suffering but at that moment as the song went on, alicia understand that there are in pain and suffering but she tried her best to spread positivity to make their life more bearable. She is optimistic because she knows everybody NEEDED it. You can tell that everybody is kinda annoyed at her optimistic but can’t help but to admire her. As the song ends, instead of her singing alone, she made almost everyone singing. Alicia IS a north star who shines the brightest not because she is the best but to be bright enough to give directions to lost sailors (which is the people who looks lost). Make people have a wish to make them have something to look forward to. Literally, she gave hope. I love that metaphors!!! I love her introductory singing. It gave us as a watcher, who alicia is.

Oh. My. Goodness gracious golly gosh. This was absolutely incredible. It’s definitely giving old Disney feel mixed with a hint of a modern vibe to the music, but not in a tacky way. I love how even though everyone’s in a bad mood, they still humor Alicia’s upbeatness. I really like the characterization of Alicia from the beginning song alone. A beacon of positivity among the sea of neutral and sad people of Estrallas, however her positivity isn’t shown as naivety or a weakness but rather a front, she too is sad like the people of the kingdom but choses to act happy for the sake of others and herself.

I absolutely adore the intro from the start! It was the way the camera was expected to pan over to an expected girl sitting on her bed, but it turns out she was already out and about to the camera's surprise. The sketches and the movement just show she's ready to tackle the day along with the town! I notice the line with "Keeping the bitter thoughts out of mind", Alicia's chipper expression dimmed for a moment before she mustered a smile and set out to her day. I love this subtle characterization that she isn't ideally optimistic but just pushing through the day with a positive attitude! I love love the musical with all the townspeople, especially the cleaning ladies and the guys on the window where their items for work (cleaning with the towel, holding the line to clean the window) just make it a perfect dazzle for them to clean. The subtle cuts to hidden parts of people impoverished and people hard at work just shows what's the community's routine and hardship is a rough yet interesting set for the story. You guys did so amazing aaaa!

In under 6 minutes long song we are introduced to the setting (cast society people are trapped in while longing for freedom), clear characterization of main character (tries to make day a little better for everyone despite their problems, hopeful dreamer who encourages others) and introduced the initial problem (unhappy lives they are unable to escape for). And the song+animation is excellent, brings story forward, has just enough humor (it's bitter work but it pays....SOME!) and the goat is actually cute and funny! I can't wait for more!

Ok this is so beautiful. I love how a single musical montage gave us Alicia's personality, the characterization of a whole town/city, funny side characters, the conflict of the movie, the relationship between the working class and the royalty. Such an amazing into song. Catchy, it shows our main is a hopeful ray of sunshine (and not the now overdone clumsy girl, too goofy that one needs to take a break for a while), how the town people are (nice but not overly nice and overworked with dreams), and how people feel for Estrallas. This is looking great. I also love the pulling back curtain to show she is gone. That is a great call back to old Disney while showing some new stuff. That is a proper way to do an ohmage.

I'm spanish and I love how historic this seems. I can recognise some instruments my great grandmother used for laundry, and making that a social meeting for ladies to interact and exchange feelings is just so on point... I also love how other men are included by singing in other activities like in the fields, sharing the same message. It makes it look very real and I love it. The only thing I don't quite understand is the word "estrallas", I don't know if they intended to write estrellas, or if it's the same in other language (like portuguese). Anyway, this is incredible

So far off to a terrific start! I am already in love with Alicia and the interesting contradiction to her character, not just in how she juxtaposes the crowd, but within herself. Around 2:58-3:03, I noticed her face change with the lyrics “keeping bitter thoughts out of mind” before putting her smile back on. It’s subtle, but it hints that she feels bitter about her situation (like everyone else), but is choosing to have a positive attitude. I feel this communicates that her optimism does not come from naïveté, but from determination to keep hope alive. I cannot wait to see what happens next!

It already seems like most precious wish coming true! I love the climax, melody, animation (I can't wait to see how it will turn out at the end, it looks so magical already!) and characters! This was a fantastic opening number!! SERIOUSLY PROPS TO THE SINGER, YOU, AND ARTIST FOR THE WORK!! I love how much the cottage reminds me of that of the Dwarves, and I love the water wheel. The reference with the birds opening the curtains in the beginning, like Cinderella! The goat is so cute and gives me such adorable vibes. The way she comes up to Beatrice is SO Belle!! Seriously Alicia is so energetic I love her already. And the vibes of the entire town. The fact she works with laundry gives me a very specific image of that one scene in The Little Mermaid with the ladies washing clothes and gossiping. And the Scrub Scrub Scrub line also feels like such a reference to The Dwarves washing up in Snow White. I'm especially moved and heartbroken by the shot of the child sitting alone in rags and dirt and looking to be ill... how even when everyone is at their wits end, much like The Hunchback of Notre Dame... "I know so many, less lucky than I..." THE MUSICAL 👏THEATRE/BROADWAY 👏STYLE 👏CHOREOGRAPHY 👏YES!! And that HIGH/STRONG NOTE AT THE END WAS AMAZING!! I love how much this feels a bit like a commentary of today's capitalist hellscape. With everyone working harder to "keep the house keys another year or two." Barely able to keep themselves afloat even when working so hard. While "the King and Queen live in luxury."

I love the key detail that differs Estrallas to Rosas and an obvious critique that I somehow didn’t notice, Rosas feels so small for a kingdom, outside asha’s home the kingdom feels more hollow and have little to no character, Estrallas feels so large and could compare how small and low each characters become by adding more places to actually say that it’s a kingdom. For an independent and fully voluntary remake, the world already feels so immersive and beautiful ❤

Now THIS is an opening! What a beautiful song that tells us about the character, the world's inhabitants, and the main conflict while still being a banger you want to listen to over and over. Alicia has my heart 😭 I can see glimpses of Snow White's optimism, Belle's humility, and Rapunzels quirkiness in her. Shes clinging to hope in a world where hope is almost feared. And of course the story boards are excellent! The compositions really capture the charming feel of classic Disney. I am so unbelievably excited for this project! Great work so far 👏 💜✨️

I am an absolute sucker for characters who, while knowing that life may not necessarily be perfect, actively focus on the beauty of the world around them instead of constantly lamenting about their rough circumstances. I think such characters often get played off as 'Naive', and, granted, sometimes they can be, but more often they DO see, understand, and want to fix the bad things that are happening, they just know you need to take a moment to appreciate the good if you want to make things better.

Oh my gosh.This is fantastic! I personally love this way more than the environment introduction songs in Frozen, Encanto and Wish! It's so unique because creates the WORLD-BUILDING of the kingdom AND character personality AND goals at the same time! The fact that they're working all the time and we get to see what the people do on a smaller scale such as laundry and brick laying. But also on a large-scale such as the ships. The repetition in their lives make it more believable that they would want to do something else, and the fact that the character is literally greeting the entire Kingdom makes it feel like a character on its own. Having the main character be a working-class peasant in a whole mass of working-class people makes her goals and desires more relatable! Because she is in such a low station, it makes her more interesting as well. Not to mention, the song catchy and sung beautifully!! This is BRILLIANT!

Just showed this to my mummy. She loves it a lot. She says you all are very talented and to continue to nuture those talents. However we (mostly my mom) got flashbacks at 3:05 when we used to wash clothes like that. Actually there's still the concrete version behind my grandma's old house. So I was actually one of the people who liked Wish well enough when I saw it but /this/. This whole project is just spectacular! With just one song you've made me care not only about Alicia ans her journey but this whole kingdom as well, seeing how worn out and weary eveyrone is but how they keep trying to make a little bit ofna good life for themselves and their families just makes you root right from the beginning for their Happy Ending And the song!! I love Alicia's characterization so far! Similar to Asha, she is enthusiastic and wants to highlight the bright side to lighten up the mood, but is toned down to fit the atmosphere. And minus the adorkability, and I am so happy about that. The atmosphere also feels like a mix of Beauty and the Beast and a bit of Cinderella, one of the most well-known films of their era.
