I was thinking no way could I have something like what you have in a few minutes. Followed right along and things were super simple. First time in Ue5, I would have been lost looking for the old tools on my own.

im not even joking when im saying ive spent like 10+ hours trying to start learning unreal 5 and i've encountered countless problems which have lead me to tutorial on tutorial without ever understanding anything yet your 10 minute video solved almost all of my problems and was very easy to understand, thank you for making this!

Hey! If you are reading this, UE5 has officially come out. So, you can skip making the light and sky by going into the window tab, the to Env. Light Mixer, and then checking all the boxes (other than directional light 1). Should speed it up a bit.

This is great. Thanks for good instructions. Although I can’t get sun to move at all by pressing Ctrl+L and moving mouse. The gizmo just moves erratically but sun stays in one spot.

Try hold CTRL button down, So press Ctrl+L, release L but keep pressing Ctrl and then move mouse =)

Self-use note: 8:23 ~ 12:15 SECTION 3: PRODUCING ANIMATION 8:23 Create level sequence asset and drop the "Cine Camera Actor" onto the track 8:56 Add keyframes on the "Transform" track 9:25 Set the interpolation of 2 keyframes to "Linear" to make the camera speed constant (right-click menu) 9:42 Change the frame rate if you like (top of sequencer) 9:55 Add keyframes to the camera's focus length (in "Detail" tab) 10:47 Open "Render Movie Settings" window (top of sequencer) and adjust render settings 11:23 Don't forget the set warm up frames

How were you able to get atmospheric fog/haze on your landscape? i followed the instructions exactly and even messed with the hieght fog for more haze but i couldt get that the same spatial haze that you were able top acheive. Any advice would be great

IM SORRY I've been struggling for a few days now because of a really dumb mistake. I hope I'm not the only one with this issue so this might help someone. The part with rotating the sun, the "press crtl+L" part, yeah, It's HOLD. IM SO MAD AT MYSELF FOR NOT TRYING IT A WEEK EARLIER!!!!!!!!!!! ITS HOLD CTRL+L

Could you bring a 2D video of an asset in, like a chroma keyed video of an animal standing there, stick it in this scene and have it motion tracked with lighting, focus changes and everything?

Yup, I think there is a way to do that. You could also use live link and live chroma key in engine. Look into virtual production using ue5.

You need to make it clear that you are doing the cinematic version of it. It took me a long time to come across your excellent tutorial because I thought it was just another megascans tutorial.

Hey, man! thank you! such a great tutorials! ..I have a problem with focus on UE5.. there is no blur\bokeh in picture. all the rocks and ground on all the distance are totally sharp... What could be wrong, could I ask you?

In the cinematic camera under the focus settings, enable draw debug plane. You will see a purple plane which denotes the focus distance. So, you can change the focus distance till the objects are in focus. Also, decrease the aperture to something like 1.2. Hope this helps!

i tried.. unfortunately not helping..there is a plain, but all the objects are or totally sharp in all depth, or blurry in all depth.. there is no focus 'line' in between.. it looks like its just doesnt work right in my case 😓

Hi, thank you so much for this great tutorial! I have only one question… Pressing Ctrl + L and moving my mouse doesn't work for me. Is there something I could be doing wrong?

Make sure that the atmosphere sun option is turned on in the directional light. Also, press Ctrl+L and while still holding down Ctrl move the mouse to rotate the sun. Note the Ctrl key should be held down when moving the mouse.

Hi Thanks for your very helpful video. However I am not seeing the tiling/offset in the material. The material is from Quixel and I’ve tried searching for those key words. Nothing. Any ideas why I’m not seeing this or suggestions as to what I should do?

Hi, I got why its not visible for you. You might have choosed different ground material. For me this happen, when i chose the right one, tiling option was avaialbale. You can see the tiling option is present or not from Qbpixel window after clicking material in right side.
