That red white and blue Javelin is such a unique and badass car. Those foxbody mustangs are fast, and have a amazing following--- but they are a dime a dozen at the track. Loved watching that AMC kick ass!

Back in the late 60s amc purpose built 50 amc amx ss cars for drag racing. When they showed up to the drags unnanounced the ford, chevy and chrysler sponsored cars would sneak back on the trailers and go home. They didn't want to get humiliated by a rambler.

I would never put my car up for pinks..i have too much time and money in it and you never know what the opponent really has under the hood regardless of taking a look at it. Street racing is hustling and you don't want to let other racers watching know what you have..I've beat people by 2 cars and they are thinking I'm spraying and i take there money..they come back and say take the bottle off for $200 more and I take their money again..they go get their friend with a faster car so I give mine some more timing and take his money..I tell them it's a 400 when it's really a 434
