I always find your videos incredibly soothing and I appreciate it especially today as I recover from covid (despite being fully vaccinated). There's a calming aura surrounding you and the patience and gentle manner you handle your plants with always make me feel warm and fuzzy inside. Speaking of fuzzy - if you want an easy going rather easily available philodendron with fuzzy stems, look for squamiferum. I have it, it's amazing, the leaves are gorgeous and the stems are not only fuzzy but also reddish in color. It also grows incredibly well.

More of these videos please Christine! I have a Chinese Money Plant that has a multi leafed baby growing out of the soil and I’m so scared to cut it in case I kill it. You really are so good at giving your viewers confidence, so any plant care or propagation videos are much appreciated. Not seen Michael for a while and hope everything is good with you both xxx

I picked up a free baby anthurium pallidiflorum the other day that was almost completely rotten and am trying my hand at a setup similar to yours thanks to this video! I initially had it in pearlite with a reservoir of water, suspended in the air so the stem would not rot (it is a large chunk of stem with one leaf and one root left that I'm not entirely sure is viable-it's brown and woody/not at all squishy). The leaf pretty quickly started to curl and so I sandwiched it in sphagnum on top of the pearlite and stuck it in my ikea cabinet. I really hope it makes it because they are SUCH beautiful plants and kinda expensive normally! If you have any advice, I'd love it :) I made sure the sphagnum covered the base by the new leaf in hopes of rooting

I would recommend staking your melano on a pole or a plank. Mine was pretty sad for a while until i saw a video of someone using a plank and i did it right away and omg my melano has never been happier. It has been giving me beautiful leaves and they seem bigger the higher they climb.

I love your videos! You are so alert with your plants when they have a problem you know exactly how to treat them. It’s amazing!! I have a peace lily plant that has dark brown tips. I love your videos. They are very informative. What does it mean when a leaf rots before it unfurls? How often do you water your plants in terracotta? I have to water 3-4 times per week, which is hard to keep up with. What is the purpose of using sphagnum moss as a topper?

If you haven't already checked them out, Summer Rayne Oakes has like 4 or 5 great video tours of NSE Tropicals in Fla. Her greenhouse is amazing and she gives good tips and has tons of tropical plants in a really cool environment. She seems to let them grow pretty naturally so it gives insights to what makes them happy, plus it's just great plant porn. NSE has a great shop too, even if I can't afford most of them, it's cool to see what she's selling. Have a great day :D

My theory is that in a clay pot, the plant dries out so much that when it’s watered it takes up water too quickly. I solved this problem with my watermelon peperomia by putting it into a plastic pot, where the water level stays more consistent

Wish we could actually see the plant close up. If you had two cameras recording at the same time that would help a lot. One recording down at the plant and one recording in front of you. Just a suggestion.
