Wow man I love your videos I am trying to get into Wathammer 40k right now for the first time and want Tyranids as my first army. I want to paint all my own stuff and this scheme has given me a great idea to use a green tinted version of this. If you wouldn't mind could you please show us a overview of your "Coconut Army" I would greatly appreciate it, and any tips you could give to a new player on materials to get started. Thank you so much, I love your videos and I'm currently binging them all. XD

Will Gluing the paper clip to the magnet hurt the magnet's surface? It looks like it works for you, I'm just being cautious.
@CatgutPainting4 жыл бұрын
Nope, just use the minimum amount of glue necessary, and be gentle when scraping clean with the knife later.

Guess I have a bad glue, cause my magnets don't want to stick to the paperclips. I got a loctite, cause that was suggested often, but somehow it just won't work here

How do you get the primer off the arm socket magnets
@CatgutPainting4 жыл бұрын
The smooth surface of the magnets doesn't stick to the paint very well, so most of the primer comes off with the paperclip. For the little bit left, I gently run a blade along the surface of the magnet, scraping off the remainder. But if there's no noticeable height to it, you don't need to bother- as long as the magnet is a flat surface, the paint won't interfere at all with sticking to the model.

CatgutPainting Thanks mate, appreciate it. I’m doing a kraken rendition of your coconut crab scheme and couldn’t be happier. Keep pumping these vids out, they’re all great

Catgut, are you the person behind Necrotales? (www.necrotales.com/ ?) Also, I was wondering if you've ever tried sponges to get the dot patterns. It seems like it would give you smaller dots.
