I can't believe this is the first time a Jim Henson production gets released on home video by the Criterion Collection.

I bought the standard Blu-ray (no 4K) release of this, and the disc came scratched. Luckily for me, it still worked without any issues, but it still pisses me off that something I bought brand new came scratched. Have you ever experienced that?

Yes I have. I've had new discs show up with greasy finger prints on them, scratches, or little dings like someone poked the shiny surface with a needle. I also have had a lot of discs show up with the "off gassing" residue on them. Very annoying.

The Blu-ray is region B or region A ?

The back of the box says region A. However, I have not seen it tested in other regions to see if it is actually region free.

I’m not the worlds biggest Guillermo Del Toro fan. I was a little sceptical of this movie. I watched it on Netflix when it released last year and I blew me away. Definitely incredible stop motion. Some tearjerker moments, it might be a little intense for little ones.
