@@aleksandarcurguz2428 Debatable, I don't think Baker should've been squad leader in the first place. Don't get me wrong he never wanted to be squad leader but there's a reason why I hate it when the player is the leader. Notice a pattern in all three games? Baker comes out unscathed all the time even in situations where he shouldn't even be alive, you as the main character can choose to throw your characters out there and die or you can go in there yourself. I guess you can say it's the curse of the gun that his father gave him but at the end of the day the majority of the protagonist no matter how heart retching it is will always have plot armor thicker than the entire rebel alliance. Now, I do like the game actually that's an understatement I love the game but it just troubles me how he could give the promotion to Paddock when he didn't even attempt towards saving Friar, he didn't even give the dude CPR or anything unlike Corrion who managed to bring Red back to life. All Paddock did was assist Baker go John Wick style on an entire church to kill one sniper who managed to get the upper hand on Baker and Paddock just threw him out. If anything a squad should've went in there. Not Paddock and Baker, but, any ways that's just my thoughts on the game. Also, pay in mind that Franky is young and I don't even think Baker could've control him, hell even Red stated that the reason some of his men dies is because he acts too much as their friends then as their commanding NCO. Corrion or Paddock should've never been given the promotion.

@@isgcontractor8787 well, this is where we come to the ❓ question ❓. What is it that makes a great soldier? Is it his brain or his heart? Corrion might have had the heart, but Paddock was more stable for sure. Corrion is just too impulsive.

@@aleksandarcurguz2428 I can't find the answer to that question I just simply stated on why Paddock and/or Corrion shouldn't be fit for that role. You can clearly see that Baker wanted to repay Paddock for saving his life. But, Corrion who saved one of his best friends life wasn't even given a second thought and Paddock stared at Friar right into his face and didn't even bother to administer him CPR. All he did was scream at him to wake up. No individual thinking, didn't attempt to save his own men, and stared at a dying Friar who was scared to die.

For people who think Matthew Baker only feels bad about Alen, Garnett and Legget, you sir's are wrong, he feels sory for everyone who lost, George, Desola, Muzzo, Joe Hartsock (not dead though) but he is haunted by them because he and Legget kept a very dangerous secret to keep.

i remember a mission in road to hill 30 called buying the farm, when mac told allen n garnett to go with leggett. allen: why are we with the boy wonder?! mac: don't even try to argue with me son! i was kickin ass while you were playing dolls with your sister! now get going! so either it was mac's fault or allen's mouth keep yappin at leggett, this wouldn't had happened, they should stick with baker

To this day, I thought Leggett was the main reason of Allen and Garnett’s demise but now I always think he was tormented by his squad mates and was a rival of Allen and Garnett and he told Baker the truth but Baker chose to keep it secret, but Leggett was so Traumatized by the events that he was suicidal and keep everything to himself and barely spoke, to me Leggett didn’t deserve it, it was all Baker’s fault and that’s why Corrion didn’t want to be around Baker after the events of Hell’s Highway.

To be honest, Mac is the one who should be the one responsible for Allen and Garnet's death. Mac was the one who sent them with Legget in the first place.

Peter Wenzel if you ask me there were four men responsible for their deaths: Mac, Baker, Allen, and Leggett. Mac for knowing that Allen and Leggett had problems, and failing his role as platoon sergeant to make sure that their squad leader (Matt) sorted it out before it could affect combat effectiveness, then finally sending them on that patrol. Matt for neglecting his responsibility as squad leader and not forcing an end to the shit between Leggett even when it was already affecting unit cohesion. And finally the two idiots themselves: Allen and Leggett, for being stupid enough to think that a patrol in enemy territory was the perfect opportunity to start an argument. Literally the only guy with any sense during this whole thing was Garnett for trying to get Dumb and Dumber to shut the hell up, so they wouldn’t give away their position.

No, most of the characters in the game are actual people. Such as Corrion, they changed his name, but he was a real person. Hartsock was real, and almost everyone else. Baker was made as main character so that they could create their own story for him, so that you could enjoy without them having to actually go back and ask the soldiers what they experienced.

Because Baker forced Leggett to keep secret what happened. If he told the others, they might of killed him. But saying nothing allowed them to come up with much worse theories about him. He became a pariah and the pressure of that killed him. Baker must have felt guilty for his part in it.

Except for the first part of this video for this game takes place during Hell's Highway and the first part shows the date as June 9th, 1944 and this game takes place in (I think) September 17th, 1944.

This drove Leggett to some kind of crazed depression and begged a Panzer to take his life at Hill 30, so Baker blames himself or what happened to Leggett. Leggett felt guilty over allen and garrett deaths that he pretty much killed himself. Baker blames himself for Leggett death,because he told leggett to not tell the truth.

It was because of Leggett's fight with Allen near the Germans that they got killed, so Baker wanted to cover it up out of fear that the squad would literally kill Leggett. He told Leggett to say he "saw nothing" to the squad, which they thought meant he hid in the bushes.
