Pinpointing & Isolating Water Entry in a Gas Well

Neptune Energy, a leading offshore gas producer in The Netherlands, experienced increasingly high water production in their conventional gas well. With the well unable to cope with lifting this produced water, and with no clear indication of which zones the water was entering from, the operator had no choice but to shut-in the well.
Upon reaching 4600m depth, the camera revealed severe scale build-up, in addition to the presence of water. As the camera continued to descend, the perforations producing water could easily be seen with flow increasing throughout the stage.

This scenario can be very problematic in isolating the water producing perfs from the oil or gas producing perfs to plug or squeeze them off. Squeezing off oil producing perfs with cement is not good. Sometimes the perfs are so close together that you can't set an isolation tool for the perfs because they are too close .That's where a polymer squeeze type of program can come in handy. But polymers are usually a temporary fix. So what's next.

I have a question for this video...Before you run in the video, the well should be full of water, fluid level maybe up to the wellhead, but during this video, can not see any water level from begining to end. So if you or Neptune Energy had sucked all water from the well before you RIH your EV?
