10 years since the release of Ping Pong The Animation! After watching anime and reading manga for over 30 years, I can confidently say that Ping Pong is the ultimate, unintentional ode to Japanese manga and animation in its 65+ year history. A masterpiece from Japan by genius mangaka Taiyō Matsumoto. I avoided reading the manga and the 2002 live-action for over 20 years, until I finally watched Ping Pong The Animation in 2021. If you haven't seen it yet, don't make the same mistake I did and give this anime masterpiece a chance!

What looks wierd to you its the art style, because the animation, technicaly speaking, its very good. Personaly, this "wierd" kind of anime really appeals to me. I loved aku no hana for example. After watching all the episodes (of aku no hana) it made me read the manga.
