Ive been looking for a new machine to finish my quilt bc my old machine will not sandwich the pieces together. And I have watched A LOT of videos on the Baby Lock Brilliant. Just looking for the machine that I can quilt with. Your video was the BEST BY FAR in helping me understand the features of this machine and helping me make my decision on which one I want. Thank you!

GREAT video!! I think this has pretty much sold me on this machine. I watched an older video on your channel where the lady was explaining all the things you must have regardless of cost. I made a list from that video and the Baby Lock Brilliant checks every box! Tri-motion, Stretch Straight, 3 Step Zig-Zag, Overcasting, Built-In Buttonhole and Blind hem stitch. Also your personality really carried in the video and it was a pleasure to watch. Thanks again.

Thank you for this video!!! I have wanted a Babylock for a while, but wasn't sure which one to get until I saw this video!!! I'm sold! In fact, I went ahead and bought one a few weeks ago and I absolutely LOVE it!!!!

This review is GREAT! And, it's part of the reason I decided on the Brilliant. I had to wait a while, but I've had this machine since August 2020 and I LOVE IT!!! This was the first time I splurged on a really nice machine and it was worth the wait!!

This review was great! You are so clear in explaining and showing the features. I had to laugh at how you LOVE to do repair work. You took the words right out of my mouth🤣🤣. I am looking for a new machine and this is now definitely a contender. I tend to over research when making a big purchase but am usually satisfied with my choice in the end. Thank you for your help!

The BEST Babylock is the Jazz II. I have one, I LOVE it so much, I only just bought it and haven't had a lot of time to play but with a 12" throat, the quilting area is spectacular.

I saw there were some problems on the ones made earlier. They must have changed so it works better. I see they don't sell it and I was wondering why? I wanted to buy it, but was afraid buying online and something is wrong you might have to pay to ship it back.

Love this video!!!! Just purchased my Babylock Brilliant!!! You are great at explaining everything. I got tickled when you "almost" lifted the pressure foot but stopped short and used your knee to do it. Your expression was so funny!!! Thanks for the help with my new machine. I'm brand new to quilting and just started working in May at the Missouri Star Quilt Company. I haven't even made anything "yet" : - ) I am really wanting to make some garments in the near future. I have picked up some small projects to get used to sewing. I have sewn in the past, 20 or 30 years ago!! Yikes, that was a long time ago! I know I love to create and to sew. Most ppl will say they hate to mend things, I'm not one of them. I felt great just getting to run my machine and here it running. Weird to some ppl I know, but that's me. Anyway, Thanks again for the information and I look forward to seeing more of your videos!! Sincerely, Cheri

Not to be pedantic, but this isn't a review, its a sales pitch.I want to know the shortcomings of this machine as well as the great and fabulous. I will probably buy this machine, but in a review, I like to know the things I will have to be careful with. How sensitive is the threader? Does it do GREAT buttonholes. or does it just do them? As a sales pitch, this is amazing, as a review, not so much.

Edit: I see your website is gone and now leads to security alerts? | I hemmed all of my shorts that are a bit stretchy but they are probably at least 95% cotton. I didn't use stitch #7, I used the regular straight stitches and polyester thread. Hopefully they are ok since they aren't total stretch material. I'm glad I saw this before getting to my T-shirts; some of those a really stretchy. Obviously, I need to read the manual. I see the chart that mentions, for instance, that overcasting stich 17 is for medium stretch. Your example was much more useful. I hope to find more video details of using certain stitches such as these on the Brilliant.

Great video. I have this machine & its a great companion to my Ellisimo Gold II. I got it to take to classes & friend's hoyses to sew, & have them to my home to sew where they don't hsve to lug their machine with them. One note is that you pulled the tbread back through the machine when you realized you'd left the pressure foot diwn while threading. Thread should never be pulled back through the machine. It should be cut from the spool & pulled though the machine, not pulled back through.

This is exactly like the JUKI DX7 that I've got. It looks identical and has the same bells and whistles. I don't know what this Baby Lock costs but my Juki was 1400. I do see one thing that's better on the Juki. The number keys have the numbers, the stitches, AND the letters for embroidery so you don't have to look at that booklet.

@ruluwa75794 жыл бұрын
The Brilliant has the closed top and the Jubilant is an opened top-similar to our previous sewing machines. While both are awesome, the Brilliant style assuredly is a nice feature for “my upgrade”.

I was going back and forth between Jubilant and Brilliant. I finally just decided on Brilliant. Getting it tomorrow. Jubilant is nice, but Brilliant appealed to me more. The cover won me over as well as the higher functions, and I like a bigger machine.

Hi! This past summer, I was in the same place, deciding between those two exact machines. I ended up going with the Brilliant and am so happy I did. After decades or sewing on a very simple machine I was concerned the brilliant would be too much machine for me, but Baby Lock has made this machine ultra intuitive. It is also. Better in size and capabilities for my projects! I hope this helps, and best of luck!

I purchased this machine back in august because of this video and my auto threader doesn’t thread anymore, I’ve tried many times😕 plus getting the walking foot on is a challenge, I can’t seem to find room for my hand to fit under to hold the foot while unscrewing the nut…. Is there something I’m doing wrong? I feel like my fingers are too short or something but didn’t have this problem with my Janome… anyone have any ideas? Another question, is there any way to make the lettering a larger size? I haven’t figured that out yet…. Thanks in advance!

Sounds like your thread tension is off: top tension is too loose/bobbin tension is too tight. Make sure you thread the machine with the presser foot lifted up.
