Pintailed Whydah at Mason Park Irvine

This non-native bird originates from Africa but had become established in Orange County. I have seen them at Mason Park from time to time over the last year or so but only just managed to get some close up video last Saturday, 9/1/2018.
These birds lay their eggs in other birds' nests which could present a threat to native species.
