Pinterest is a powerful tool. It’s a great way to curate your ideal sense of style and its a fun way to pass the time. I’d venture to say that Pinterest is one of my favorite tools and it’s helped my clients and my business tremendously.
But …
There is one little problem. Pinterest life vs. Real life isn’t always the same thing.
In today’s video we are diving into those “model off duty” looks that are all over Pinterest. You know the pics, when a model or a celebrity is casually walking down the street with a Starbucks cup looking fierce? They look so “effortless” people say and people want that.

I really enjoyed this video but it wasn't what I thought it would be. I had assumed you'd be taking Pinterest outfits and showing people how someone could adjust the inspiration into something realistic for different body types and such. Perhaps you could do something like that in the future?

You SHOULD have a million subscribers, but you may never get there because you don't use clickbait, don't do a bunch of wasteful Zara clothing hauls, nor make stupid faces in your video thumbnails. Your content is so high quality - original, honest, practical, and entertaining. It's rare that someone's content exceeds my expectations so much and gives me a greater insight into myself. Hi Lauren, I like this idea for a series. Some Pintrest outfits look great only if you sit or stand in one particular position, with one hand in your pocket or "casually" rufling your hair :). Besides, some outfits don't seem realistic to me. A wool coat with a thin strap sandals for instance. If it's cold enough for one, it's not warm enough for the other. Am I too out of fashion for saying this :-D?

NoNo ,nah you using common sense. I've started going through my Pinterest boards and removing images that don't make sense as well... Like clothes that one would never actually want to do daily activities in they just look pretty and aren't practical.

This is such an important video! As much as I try to remember these things on the daily, it’s nice to have a reminder. Photos are retouched and just a single brief moment of life captured at the right time. Just because we buy the outfit doesn’t mean we have to look just like the person in the photo or else its a failure. It’s also important to consider whether you truly like an outfit or you just like how the model looks/ how the outfit looks on them. I’m excited for the rest of the series!

Models look like every one else they have mua doing makeup hair stylist and many pictures are. Photo shopped camera's with filters and professional photographer to take pictures they can afford plastic surgery nutritions and personal trainers this is why they look the way they do

That's why it's important to find inspiration from body types like yours. Don't set yourself up for failure by drooling over an outfit on someone who isn't built like you. Find your style on a body type like yours, then you'll feel better when you rock that look.

I'm sure, or made specifically for them. They're models, they walk runways and are fitted for clothes constantly, so any brand will know their exact measurements. They have access to the best quality clothes, stylists, makeup artists, hair stylists, photographers, etc. And yes, of course, they're extremely tall, thin, and beautiful to begin with. The fact that we compare ourselves to them is absurd, but we all do it. If we had access to half of what they have, we'd look pretty damn "Pinterest worthy" too.

It's actually sad to me that anyone thinks that models and celebrities are perfect, imagine how their lives were before they were famous, did the people around them think that they were perfect? Probably not. I think it's unfortunate that we cant appreciate beauty unless its on TV, Magazine or "perfect" pictures on social media. I had a friend who was once complimenting a woman's shape on TV, the crazy thing was that she has the exact same shape and body type, but she cant appreciate hers, only when she sees it on TV. I like this channel but I disagree that any of the things you see on social media is unattainable, I think our issue is that we just cant appreciate ourselves, most of those expensive cloths and accessories have more affordable alternatives, maybe not dirty cheap, but affordable. I mean if you want to look exactly like Beyoncé then that's unattainable, coz you cant go into her mothers womb and be born as her, just like it will be unattainable for Beyoncé to look like you coz she cant be born as you. Please people just appreciate yourselves, the idea of celebrities being perfect is just in your head, they are human beings just like you. Enjoy their music or movies or whatever is it that they do but seriously they are just ordinary people.

I'll never buy culottes for the mentioned reason-looks good only on flat-bottomed models with long legs and absolutely ridiculous on all other women. There are some trends that just can't be adapted to average women
