Interesting, I still have no idea what I'm doing on Pinterest, but my reasoning for filling out the alt text myself was to make it more accessible for visually impaired people. I had no idea, that this was something that helps in SEO as well! Thanks so much for this video, it's helped a lot to make things more clear and gave me lots of ideas on how to tackle marketing through it.

Because it's that "floating text" for visually impaired people, is why Google "reads" it :) And knows what it's about, as Google's "robots" are also visually impaired :) Happy you liked this video :)

This is great, Mey, thank you. I'm just trying to start Pinterest for business. I was thinking about pinning planning tips for printable planners as non-competing pins before, but you gave me so many more ideas!! :D My one worry is if for the things I want to sell I only pin my own stuff, then some boards may have just 1-2 pins for a long time until I make some more products (if I make more in a certain category at all - I guess I should). This still holds me back a bit. After watching some of your videos I'm amazed by your creativity. Both in thinking outside of the box, coming up with ideas, and in your Canva workarounds to beat its limitations. :D
@MeyTribe3 жыл бұрын
Well, why 1-2 pins? You can make 1,000 pins for the same listing :)

@@MeyTribe Hmm, you're right. I didn't think about that. 😁 Thanks.
@donnaconnolly48522 жыл бұрын
I always thought that you can only create maybe 10 pens with one listing because you might get accused of spamming. Do you know how many times you can re-create a product from the same listing. Some say no more than ten. Since I sell greeting cards and I may have a set of four, I thought I was probably only limited to about 20 pins or so for that listing even when changing them up some.

Hey Mey, thanks for this video. But please could you elaborate on the differences between boards and sections, and how to pin others pins effectively. 😘
@MeyTribe3 жыл бұрын
Well, on Pinterest you set up boards, and they have sections. Like a category- with sub categories. So for example- you can make a board for printable coloring books, with sections for each book. OR- a board for home decor, with sections on types of decor.

Not sure I understand... (did you mean pins?) You either save a pin from a website using the pin button extension, or the default of the website. or when adding manual pins you simply choose the board/section and click on it to save it.

I never tried linking 2 Pinterest accounts, so I can't say... I just have different ones with different emails. Though you can try to create a linked one. I think that the main thing that matters won't be that... BUT- your uploading consistency and interaction within Pinterest.

Hello! Thanks for interesting video! I have a question about boards on Pinterest. Should I share other same content pins, mixing them with my own, which I sell? And else - how should I call such boards? Common name, like for example "Digital Cliparts" or just call the board my business name?
@MeyTribe Жыл бұрын
You should def combine the pins you create with pins from Pinterest itself ! How to call your boards? That is totally based on what you upload there... If you are selling clipart I'd recommend making a board for each type of clipart style/theme. If you sell clipart, patterns, digital paper packs, fonts... make a board about each, and diversify the niche or theme within that board with sections. You can also re-pin pins talking about using these elements If your pinterest is about many things, and you want one board for your products- name that after the business, ONLY if the business contains the right keywords, as board names and section names are for SEO. Maybe the entire Pinterest account should be your business name ?

Hi Mey, I'm just starting on Pinterest, so still confused as to how to use Pinterest. I created a business account. Bit I have two completely different shops on Etsy, so do I create two different Pinterest accounts for each shop, or do I create different boards, or how doest that work? Also, in one of my shops, I sell printable junk journal pages and kits (something I create from scratch), so if I made a board called "Printable Junk Journal Kits" - so if I see posts about junk journal glues or other supplies, do i put that in that board, or do i create a different board like "Junk Journal Supplies"? I'm so confused!
@MeyTribe7 ай бұрын
Hey :) Not sure if your two shops are good to be placed under the same pinterest account- as you've only mentioned one of them. If the other is all about baby onesies and baby clothes- yeah- two different shops. If the other is journals- 1 account can be ok.

@@MeyTribe thank you Mey :) the second one is printable greeting cards and party favors (and wall art). Also, I know that Pinterest lets you create 4 profiles under one email, so i just do that? or do i need a different email to set up a completely unrelated profile? Sorry, I'm new to Pinterest :)
