PINTERTEST- 'DAZZLE' LIPSTICK!

Hey bunny.......take the un glittered lipstick and place in a bowl.....then put the bowl onto a pan or boiling water to melt the lipstick....then when fully melted dump the glitter into the wet mixture. Line the empty lipstick tube with cling film,pour the wet mixture into the tube, don't replace the lid yet...chill in the fridge till it's set...pull the cling film to release the new lipstick.....then gently heat the very base of the new lipstick and place into the tube, slightly melting it first will help it stick back into the tube....chill again, then to get the traditional lipstick shape, slice a little off diagonally, and then smooth and shape with your finger, this is awesome, and the colour ideas are endless, I've made beautiful colours....with and without glitter...if u have any almost gone colours scoop them out and melt together....I think you'll love this!!! And I really hope u do a video on it, I'd do my own videos but I'm not pretty enough x x

First you should get an empty chap stick tube and a small bowl (not even like a cereal bowl small) get lipstick melt it in the bowl in the microwave or over boiling water (still in bowl- and be very cautioned while melting-may burn) add glitter, give it a nice few stirs, pour liquid into empty chap stick container let it cool and sha-bam you got a perfect lipstick!

Just an FYI, you should never use craft glitter on your face because craft glitter is commonly cut in squares which can cut you. Cosmetic glitters are cut round so they're safe to use on the face. Lit Cosmetics makes some really high quality glitters. You should try those out. I'd be interested to know if they would work over a lip product.

Lit cosmetics glitters work awesome over lipsticks! I use Barbie Shops a lot & it reflects blue/purple & looks soo nice over pink & purple lips. I usually mix a tiny bit with clear gloss & pop it over my lipstick.

Yes, she could have used a cheap lipstick (and alarm bells were going off for me when she put the glitter on THAT limited edition lipstick!) but she stayed true to the Pinterest picture. There are actual glitter lipsticks out there in cheaper brands.

I think you should try applying the glitter over the lipstick on your lips with a brush. That might work better than just coating the lipstick with glitter.

I would suggest using First Snow glitter talc from Lush- their glitter is derived from seaweed (& is thus safe on lips, skin, is biodegradable & isn't horrifying to get into your eyes). it's a really fins sparkle, so dusting that on in layers with the lipstick my yield an even result.

Maybe she should have put glitter in a mould shaped as a lipstick n then melt the lipstick she wants n then pour more glitter after u put the melted lipstick in the mould n wait for it ti harden or do somthing to make it harden like put it in a fridge or somthing n then remove it n make another one carve the new lipstick if not in shape or just keep rubbing it somewhere then in between the lipstick wich is the middle u can fill it in like glue with the acces melted lipstick

Bunny! The reason why it's gritty is because of 2 factors: 1. It's craft glitter not cosmetic glitter...cosmetic glitter is almost like fine powder. Try Fantasy Makers silver holographic glitter from Wet an Wild from this year's Halloween collection. 2. The glitter was not put into the actual product during manufacturing and this is sitting on top of the product rather than enveloped in the creamy lipstick. Either way it looks really nice on you :) love you

The pink looks great on you. I think if you want a serious glitter lipstick, the glitter needs to be finer, cosmetic grade and all through the product-and not a color other than the color of the glitter. And, hell yeah, I would kill for a silver hologram tube of that type of lipstick. OR a glitter lipstick palette set with all the colors arranged in ROY G BIV color fashion. SO you have a compact with red, orange, yellow, green, blue, indigo, violet, WITH silver, gold, copper, white and black lip glitters. OH HELL'S YEAH!

Cajun Spice thats what was in a fragrance style diy lip gloss kit I got as a kid, but you're right most seem to be a mix of carnauba (which I actually thought was toxic) and bees wax. As for the glitter, there are a lot of body safe and even edible glitters on the market!

To anyone wanting to try this, I would suggest using edible glitter!! Craft stores or big supermarkets that have baking sections will most likely have it (or Amazon, of course). Putting standard craft glitter that close to your mouth means there's a pretty good chance you'll end up eating a little bit, and tiny bits of plastic inside you isn't the best thing for your health! I think you need to apply your lipstick then dust your lips with glitter to get a glitter look. The lipstick just colors over the glitter when you apply it. A clear gloss with lots of glitter over your lipstick my work.

Girl, you shouldn't be using craft glitter anywhere near your face. Use cosmetic-grade glitter from Sally's or something. Craft glitter (especially when you're putting it on your lips) is not safe to accidentally ingest. Also, NEVER EVER use it for eyeshadow. if that shit gets in your eye, you're gonna have a cut up eyeball.

I got glitter in my eye once, but I just used a soft wet paintbrush to get the glitter out and it was all good. Thank god, I was freakin out a bit in the bathroom lol

I bought skin safe glitter made from mica from my soap supply company. I think this would be safer and a finer grind to use. I use it in my soaps but it would be okay for lipsticks. Probably would have to melt the entire lipstick and mix. Instead of a tube, you can put the mix in a cosmetic pot and apply with lip brush. Love your new series!

You should try melting the lipstick and then adding a lot of really really fine glitter to the melted lipstick. There is a mold you can get to pour the melted lipstick in to let set. Then just put it back and done.
