Please bring in more guests like Mr Blair. This is the kind of Catholic men we need. Authentic charity requires the willingness to bear physical discomfort. One who is attached to comfort will be incapable of loving. And men are called in a very special way to love by laying down their lives for God and for the good of their wife and children.

Mr. Blair’s comments at 1:31:10 are spot on. I was asked by a parent of a young man who was graduating from Marine Corps boot camp if she should get the t-shirt that all the parents were going to wear to the graduation ceremony. I explained (as a former Marine) that her son was graduating as a professional killer, not as Captain of the soccer team. No, she should not get the tshirt. She should dress in her finest, as he would also be dressed in his finest on this incredibly important day.

I absolutely love hearing about men of faith from the SOF community. I always think about how my time in the military could have been different if I had gotten serious about my relationship with God a lot sooner. As a Ranger, I identified with a lot of things he mentioned. Sam was right that humor and faith are so important to getting you though. I’m embarrassed to say that it took about another 12 years to really get close with God but it did start in large part at Ranger School in 1995. I remember when the Chaplain would come visit us every so often I’d beg him to bring as many of those little Our Daily Bread books as he could and I’d spend every second I could reading them. I had many intense experiences out there feeling incredibly close to God. One thing Sam said did provoke a thought I never had before. He mentioned that one big difference from his training and Ranger School was that we were intentionally starved in addition to the intense sleep deprivation. I’ve never really done any serious fasting for religious reasons but have thought about it and asked different friends about it. Many have said it definitely helped them, for a number of reasons, be more receptive to God. It’s impossible to say because there was so such other stuff going on with me at the time, not to mention not everyone turned to God the way I did, but I do wonder if “fasting” played a role in me having those intense experiences of peace and closeness with God. Anyway, for your viewers who liked this episode with Sam and still enjoy reading, may I suggest a few books: 1. “The Road to Unafraid” by Jeff Struecker 2. “Get It On” by Keni Thomas 3. "Jesus Was an Airborne Ranger" by John McDougall They are not Catholics but great men of God.

The humor is what gets you through sometimes, during SFAS, once the flock was culled and we had been in for two weeks, some of the most candid and hilarious discussions, one guy who was an ER room nurse in his regular Army job, started telling us all the stories he heard from people who would come into the emergency room with all manner of objects that had gotten stuck in their rectums. Apparently this is a common reason people came into the ER.

Awesome guest and interview - although I wish it was much longer :) Although I'm not from USA, I'm very interested in SEAL stories and having listened to many interviews (mainly Jocko's podcasts) I've noticed there are many wise, humble, kind, intelligent and caring people among them and they understand the concept of greater values. I'm glad you spoke not only about the training (that's a common topic in the interviews, although it's always interesting to learn a new point of view) but also about the spiritual side and I feel some themes here could be digged deeper (like loss, obedience, hate towards enemies, just war etc.). Anyway, great talk. All the best to three of you!

Yes age 12 or 13 is generally the linguistic cutoff for accents, although individuals with a good ear or a very strong desire to lose an accent can do so. However, by 14, accents are usually fixed. A young adult can manage to lose their accent, but this is extremely rare.

This supports the view of some, like Fr Ripperger, that the fundamental deficit in the Church, our country, and in men is effeminacy, defined as the inordinate seeking of comfort, pleasure, and entertainment. There are legitimate pleasures, but rightly ordered at the proper time. Get the job done right, fulfill your responsibilities, then you can relax.

I don’t know the church’s opinion on prescribing medication for Tbi. As a physician, I think any medications are ok as long as it is controlled, under supervision and benefits a life in a positive way. If cannabis is a possible treatment with a good outcome, it is better than letting people fall and end up in worse circumstances. I also always tell patients about the spiritual aspect of medicine since it does bring comfort in addition family support.

On the issue mentioned on Navy Seal officers suffering from stress and battle exhaustion and getting suicidal thoughts I personally have had friends who have had mental break down due to stress admitted into Mental hospital and with suicidal for a period of time. One method they have used to deal with their Mental health conditions and anxiety was the application of Music this has an amazing effect on the mind and few of them have got their lives back on track with this. Many people understand the fact that a person who goes into the military will give their life for their country to protect the innocent and the weak to Stop The Tyranny of evil men, however, not many people seem to realise that it's not just a matter of dying for your country or these values, but these people have to kill they have to take life, and this can be a great burden upon the soul this is the beauty of faith, god recognises there are times in which a man or woman make kill to save life and if you are one of those who suffer because you have taken a life, then it is the Christ that brings you peace in this matter, for he removes the guilt all the shame of a person would suffer because of this, and many commit suicide because it this guilt and shame and the things that they had seen and experienced, yet in the Christ you will find peace in your heart, even if you have killed in times of War or others who bear the sword to save life by taking life, God bless all those who bear the sword for righteousness sake, may you find peace in your heart all the days of your life, but remember one thing, love your enemies pray for them, for it is God who delivers them into your hands.

It's usually true about the accent and the age of 12 or even 11, as at this age some of your ear inside changes and some parts of it harden so it's extremely difficult to even hear tiny differences in pronunciation. And you can't correct yourself if you can't hear the difference.
@viviennedunbar33742 жыл бұрын
Its seems obviously linked to puberty. Pre-puberty you soak a lot of information in without too much discernment, critical thinking develops with puberty until 25. The brain has so much other stuff going on at that period maybe new languages take a back seat with the explosive growth. I am thinking of my son at 11 5'4" and at 15 6' 2". The body has a big to-do list at that point.

During the Bronze Age, in the 14th century BC the Hebrews called upon the God of Abraham to save them from captivity in Egypt, 《God then sent Yahweh》 to appear to the prophet Moses. Yahweh appeared to Moses and gave him a very powerful staff with which he would bring the Hebrews out of Egypt. After performing the 10 Plagues of Egypt, Moses and hebrews was trapped in the Red Sea when Yahweh said to him: "Why do you cry to me? Tell the children of Israel to march. And you, lift up your rod, and stretch out your hand upon the sea, and split it, that the children of Israel may pass through the middle of the sea dry." Moses then parted the Red Sea in half, and all the people of Israel crossed while the Shekhinah protected the Hebrews from the Egyptians like a pillar of fire. After crossing, the Pillar of Fire withdrew and the Egyptians were swallowed by the waters of the abyss. After this event, the Jewish faith was founded, and Yahweh began to be worshiped as the God of Israel. "We created the Planet billions of years ago, with Our words we gave life to all creation. I Am Aleph, Lamed and Tav." - Holy Trinity.

The Monad is a monarchy with nothing above it. It is he who exists as God and Father of everything, 《the invisible One who is above everything》, who exists as incorruption, which is in the pure light into which no eye can look. For the perfection is majestic. He is pure, immeasurable mind. He is an aeon-giving aeon. He is life-giving life. He is a blessedness-giving blessed one. He is knowledge-giving knowledge. He is goodness-giving goodness. He is mercy and redemption-giving mercy. He is grace-giving grace, not because he possesses it, but because he gives the immeasurable, incomprehensible light. How am I to speak with you about him? His aeon is indestructible, at rest and existing in silence, reposing (and) being prior to everything. For he is the head of all the aeons, and it is he who gives them strength in his goodness. -JESUS CHRIST TO JOHN.

Another very important thing on the faith of Catholics I born Muslim have experienced the Holly Ghost we call him Arch Angel Gabrial. The Muslims have completely got it wrong. The Christ is effectively the Son of God in the sense that God sent a message, a verbal word by way of the Holy Ghost. And this word was inspired into the Mother of Christ Holy Marry which lead to her conceiving the Christ. If you worship Christ you are worshiping a divine being something of the essence originally from God himself. Food for thought for the all the Muslims thinking they are going paradise it really is...Every single practicing Muslim eventually get afflicted by Demons etc etc it's wide spread in the community. And there is no issue worshiping Mary too due to the fact that something from God has being mixed with her essence therefore making her divine too. Every one that says laa illa ha illaah muhamadun rasuululah enters paradise according to Muslim but this is not the case I say essentially Christians continue to Worship God the father, Jesus Christ and The Holly Mother of Christ they are all divine and this is absolutely fine. And off course even the Vatican and some Christians said that prophet Muhammad is a prophet of God which is the correct stance for them to have in order for Christians to reach heaven no need for any kind of conversion when the Christ returns it's just a matter of him clarifying the whole affair

The church take a lesson from this when it comes to increasing the standards and more rigorous discernment and testing for those who want to enter into the Holy State Christian Marriage
