They were military vehicles, so a used equipment sale is your best hope. The Petrol Pinzgauers are often for sale on the continent. A 6X6 was converted into a motor caravan which was superb. This vehicle was later converted again into a mobile media centre for Red Bull.

The pinzgauer was made by the austrian Steyr Puch AG

I was very proud to re-engineer the production line when production was transferred to England in 2000. I have great admiration for Steyr and their new production systems in Graz

Production was transferred to the Uk by a company called Automotive Technik when JLR threatened to stop production of the snatch land rover. The fashion then moved to armoured vehicles. I have developed Auxetic Arnour which would be light enough for a Pinz chassis but that is history.

Well, and after the Brits took over the Austrian production of the Pinzgauer and Haflinger, they screwed it up. Sad !

Well the haflinger stoped production end 1974 , the Brits never build them but +- 2000 where build in South Africa.
