Yes, the Pioneer DMH-W4600NEX has a video output that can send the image seen on the in-dash receiver screen to a 2nd monitor. Do you mean, can I mirror my phone on to the in-dash receiver screen? Yes, that works too. The Pioneer DMH-W4600NEX has an HDMI input. Switching on the Parking Assist lines with the on screen button each time you use them is normal operation for the Pioneer DMH-W4600NEX. I'm not aware of a way to change it. You may need to set up the Dimmer to operate the way want it to. Please watch this video about operating the dimmer with the dash lights or automatically based on the time of day here: kzbin.info/www/bejne/i5KqnaqgoL-JpZY After you've set up the dimmer to work with the dash lights as shown in the video link, if it's still not working, the orange/white wire may not be properly connected. Try to use the dimmer timer. It doesn't require any wires hooked up and It' works great. I just had this installed in my 1999 4Runner LTD and am sorely disappointed in it. ALL controls are touch screen and it is VERY hard to MUTE the radio when needed like when drying in traffic when I cannot focus on the unit as if it were an iPad. Further the latency when trying to adjust the sound or to move around within the UI is awful and makes for very distracted driving which causes me to fear I will get into a wreck. The buttons on the left REALLY NEED TO BE REAL BUTTONS, not capacitive touch buttons. Now I am sick to my stomach at having spent $1750 to "upgrade" to this unit. 😨

Much of the interaction with these systems is done through voice and there is no need to touch the receiver. What is the phone and OS version from the phone? I strongly recommend for your to set up your receiver while you are safely parked with the parking brake engaged. When the vehicle is stopped is when you can scroll through screens safely and set up your system to your liking. When you are driving, you have access to the most used sources as short cuts across the bottom of the home screen. If your vehicle has steering wheel controls for audio, you can use the steering wheel controls with this receiver through the use of a 3rd party adapter. Yes, the Pioneer CD-ME300 works with the Pioneer DMH-W4600NEX for volume control, volume attenuation, and source change. The Yellow with black stripe, external mute wire is used to temporarily mute the in-dash receiver with a ground signal generated by an external device. This is typically used with a system like OnStar. An external OnStar system may need to mute the in-dash receiver in order to give a command to the driver. After the command is complete, volume is restored to it's original level. This is not a volume control, but a mute on/off switch controlled by a ground signal.
