Your Acura TSX 2009 will require custom work to replace the in-dash receiver. I recommend taking it to an Authorized Pioneer Dealer for help with installation. For you friend in Europe, there are several things to consider before buying. 1. The FM radio is designed for the US with odd numbers behind the decimal. For example 102.5, 102.7. This may not work in parts of Europe. 2. As of 2020 June, Amazon Alexa works in the US only. Other areas may be added at some point in the future. 3. I'm sure those two things will not work correctly. There may be other issues with Apple CarPlay wireless and Android Auto Wireless in parts of Europe for this product. As of 2020 June, the navigation options for driving on the road will operate through your phone with Apple CarPlay or Android Auto. With Apple CarPlay you have the choice of Apple Maps, Google Maps, and Waze. For Android Auto, you have the choice of Google Maps, and Waze. To my knowledge, for off road this will be limited to Google Maps from either platform. There may be additional off road navigation apps available through CarPlay or Android Auto. However, I'm not aware of them. GPS data will be available from the in-dash receiver. Mapping data will be provided through the phone. When you are out of cell phone data range, the map may not be very useful. This isn't just a yes or no answer, there's a little more to it than that. Please take a moment to read the full answer. I hope you'll find it of some interest. The short answer about the Bluetooth CODEC's is no. As of 2020 June, Pioneer receivers don't support aptxHD or LDAC. However, the Pioneer DMH-WT8600NEX and four more Pioneer receivers have access to the internet through a Wi-Fi hot spot. With a Wi-Fi connection to your phone and to the internet, you may not need to worry about CODEC's made to help Bluetooth sound better. When using Apple CarPlay wireless or Android Auto wireless, your connection from the phone to the in-dash receiver is Wi-Fi, and the Wi-Fi Audio source becomes available on the in-dash receiver. When using the Wi-Fi Audio source, Bluetooth is not necessary and better quality audio files can be played by the receiver. When streaming audio from a source, for example Spotify, you can choose to have high quality files delivered to the phone and connected by Wi-Fi to the receiver. No need for Bluetooth Audio or the CODEC's needed to make Bluetooth audio sound better. Just to be clear, Bluetooth Audio is still available as an audio source on the receiver. Though you may not want to use it. In addition, the Pioneer DMH-WT8600NEX gives you access to the internet through a Wi-Fi hotspot, and depending upon the music service, you may be able to play music directly from the music service site through the receiver. The Pioneer DMH-WT8600NEX, and four other Pioneer 2020 NEX receivers, will playback lossless Hi-Res Audio files stored on a USB storage device in the following formats: WAV - maximum resolution of 24-bit/192kHz , FLAC - maximum resolution of 24-bit/192kHz , DSD - both 64: 2.8mHz and DSD128: 5.6MhZ When you first insert a USB flash drive with music, HD movies, and still images, the receiver's music player will ask you to create a database. When you agree, the system will scan all of the files on the USB drive, and use the embedded information in each file to create a searchable database of Artists, Albums, Songs, and Genre. You can then search all of the music stored on the drive by those categories. During playback, if the file carries this information, you'll see Album Art, Artist, Album, and Song title on screen along with the current music format, mp3, wma, flac, aac, wav, dsd and the current bit rate and quantization rate. That's a tough question to answer. What one person calls a "not so smooth" road, another person may say isn't even a road at all. It's a carpet bombed moonscape. In the video above you can see the back of the screen has permanently installed metal mounting brackets. kzbin.info/www/bejne/h6PZf559nLeibac 4 screws hold the screen to the metal mounting bracket. 4 more screws hold the metal mounting bracket to the 1 DIN chassis in the dash. The 1 DIN chassis needs to be mounted firmly in the dash. The screen hinge is very stiff and designed to not move during normal vehicle operation. Pioneer in-dash receivers have a built-in amplifier that's designed to operate up to 4 speakers in your vehicle. In many installations this is 2 speakers in the front and 2 speakers in the rear of the vehicle. Bridging the in-dash receiver's amplifier is not recommended. If you would like some additional power, I recommend an external amplifier. The DMH-WT8600NEX has 3 pairs of RCA outputs for operating external amplifiers. It's possible there is a ground issue with the wiring. I recommend to check the wiring connections in particular the power and ground to be sure they are good clean condition. I have a DMH-WT8600NEX and am having issues with it. I have updated it to the most recent firmware. Where can I get support for this? Everytime I start my truck is tries to do an update or something and asks me to connect " a USB mass storage device with audio update file". Also I use Apple Carplay and everytime I start my truck up I have to disconnect my phone in the connection settings and reconnect it or else it won't play music. With these 2 problems it takes me up to 5 minutes sometimes to get it setup and ready to play music every time I start my truck, I have to wait for the usb mass storage message thing to play which also causes a little pop up that doesn't go away until the message is over. And I also can't go into connection settings while driving so I have to wait parked until I go through this whole process. It's quite frustrating.

Does the message appear shortly after starting the vehicle, or when you change sources, or is there some other type of trigger for this event? Are you using a "flush mount" or other type of USB connection to the back of the receiver? Or are you using the USB extension cable that was packaged with the receiver? Are you using Maestro RR or Metra Axxess in this installation? For Apple CarPlay, are you using a wired connection? Or a wireless connection? What is the phone? What version of iOS?

Pioneer discontinued the navigation map updates and that pretty much renders the navigation useless after several years of use. Crutchfield is a great organization with great install data. I went to Crutchfield's website and used the "what fits in your vehicle" button. I typed in 2017 Honda Ridgeline with both 5 inch and 8 inch screens. According to Crutchfield's on-line data, the Pioneer DMH-WT8600NEX will fit with a proper dash installation kit. A Pioneer DMH-WT7600NEX will also fit. This is effectively a 1 DIN receiver. Unless they are saying it may block some dash controls, or something similar, I don't know why it would not fit. This is not just a simple Yes, or No answer. Please read the detail in my answer. I think you'll find it interesting. Tidal does post processing on the hardware side using MQA (Master Quality Authenticated), so although the you didn’t expressly ask this question, I think what you are really asking is “Does the unit support Tidal MQA files?” If that's the question, the simple answer is no. As of 2020 May, No Pioneer car electronics products currently support Tidal control/processing and/or MQA. The Pioneer DMH-WT8600NEX, and four other Pioneer 2020 NEX receivers, will playback lossless Hi-Res Audio files stored on a USB storage device in the following formats: WAV - maximum resolution of 24-bit/192kHz FLAC - maximum resolution of 24-bit/192kHz DSD - both 64: 2.8mHz and DSD128: 5.6MhZ A USB thumb drive can be used with full search functions for Album, Artist, Song, Genre. As of 2020 May, the DMH-WT8600NEX is not compatible with Tidal as a stand alone app. However, when connected to your phone through a WI-FI connection in Apple CarPlay or Android Auto, not through Bluetooth, the Wi-Fi Audio Source will play files that are stored on the phone from any app usable on the phone in 16 bit 44.1 resolution. Please be more specific with your question. If you're referring to RCA outputs, crossovers, slopes, equalizer, and individual speaker volume controls, the Pioneer DMH-WT8600NEX has a very powerful suite of audio controls for tuning a system built in. The RCA outputs can be set up as Front/Rear/Sub, or they can be set up as High/Mid/ and Low. Each has it's own independent active crossover and slope setting, and the mid-range has an HPF and LPF.
