I didn't think stock speakers could sound as good as they do in my 2007 silverado. After running the Auto EQ and Time Alignment The sound is like you said. Remarkable! Got it a month ago and I replaced the factory speakers cuz c'mon there factory speakers with JBL GTO 6.5's and 4x6's and man oh man its even better. The sound stage went from great to holy f_ck! Can wait til they break in properly so I can really turn it up. Love this deck so muck i put one in my car a couple of weeks later. My buddy freaked on how good it sounded and was floored when I told him those were the stock speakers. Cant wait til he listens to the JBL's

Network mode lets you create a 3-way multi-amp, multi-speaker system with separate speakers for reproduction of high, middle and low frequencies (bands), each driven by a dedicated power amp using the head unit's three 5-volt preamp outputs. So, if you are not using external amplifiers for all the speakers, do not use the "Network Mode" option of this stereo. HTH!--Crutchfield

I read the manual Crutchfield provides on the product page in it I found. "3-way network mode without internal amp" I have a 4 channel amp powering components and will have a mono amp powering 2 subs at some point... Audiophile aside, would this be the right receiver for me? also, the instructions says it won't handle speakers lower than 4 ohms, but I'm assuming that's using the internal amp.

how will hi mid low rca work? do i connect tweeter amp to R, mid amp to F and sub amp to SW ?

I just bought and installed the deh-80prs in my 1988 k5 blazer yesterday but I'm having problems with the network mode. Standard mode works fine for my rear and front speakers and that's what I left it set on bc when I switch it to network mode an press the reset button to switch it only my front speakers and subs work. I don't have an amp on my mids and highs, just on my subs. Does anyone know why my rear speakers won't work in network mode but will in standard? Thanks

Would network mode work with a 2 channel amp powering 4 6.5 speakers and a monoblock amp for the sub. I usually just connect the 2 channel amp to either the front or back pre-outs. Not sure if I would miss out on some of the frequency range in network mode when only connected to either the front or back pre-out.

+Shaun Blackman The 3 way network mode is actually for using separate channels on an amp to power your tweeters, midrange, and subwoofer drivers. So you will have at least 5 channels of amplification when powering the system this way. You would get better sound out of the standard mode outputs on this receiver with the system you described. I know this model is five years old or so but was wondering if it will read an iPad mini 4 as an input?

The Pioneer DEH-80PRS was last tested for iOS device compatibility on 2/20/2013; and at that time an iPad Mini (first gen) was confirmed to work via USB. However it's not certain whether an iPad Mini 4 is supported at this time. car the 3 sets of rca outputs work as high mid and low in my bmw coupe as the tweeters plug into the mids via crossover in the e92 so the mids and tweeters and underseat sub's will go into one channel via jl audio 3 channel amp featuring sub sonic filter and my 2x 12" pioneer tsw2004spl woofers in trunk will go into the other channel via my hifonics brutus 2000w amp or do I need to put tweeters in one channel the 4" door speakers in another channel and the subs in another so that all channels are being used instead of just 2

Not sure any current in-dash models offer a "concert hall" effect, but there are several units with USB, AUX and preset + manual EQ adjustments. The lastest version of Bluetooth in a radio is 5.0 but none of the receivers with the 5V preamp outputs offer it. The latest version is 4.2. It still supports voice dialing, music streaming, etc.. This Kenwood even has a CD player: www.crutchfield.com/I-rYALc227/p_113KDCX305/item.html
