Thanks so much for making this, very cool. I have a question regarding the outputs, I see it has a master 1 and master 2/thru. Can you send certain pads through master 2 and drums through master 1 for example? Building a loop station setup so this would be great to know!

Does it work with ableton live and with the flx10?

@@DaddySkeel I use Logic to prepare my sounds and loops to use in the DJS-1000 as a standalone piece. I’m sure the same can be done using Ableton. Depending on the inputs of the FLX10 you could route the DJS-1000 into it on an available channel.

Thank you for tuning in! I don’t see any line inputs on the back of the Flx4 so I don’t think you can use it that way. But I believe you could use the master outs from the Flx4 and go into the Pioneer DJS-1000 inputs if you wanted to sample from the Flx4 into the DJS-1000

Thank you for watching! Yes you can use this machine live. With something like an OPUS QUAD I believe you can just plug the DJS-1000 outputs into one of the 4 channel inputs on that opus quad mixer and you’ll be good to go.

@@the_b1g_o214 no problem. Yes, I imagine you would have to then actively use the pitch slider on the DJS-1000 to keep things in time. Since there’s no Ethernet link as you mentioned.

@@ArnaudRemacle yes you can use the usb stick to save your sounds onto it from an external source and from the DJS-1000 itself. You can take sounds from anywhere and save it to the USB drive and then those sounds can be loaded into the DJS-1000. You can then save your projects and sounds from the DJS-1000 onto the USB drive as well.

yoo do you know how to make your own samples and use them on the sampler? i can get sample packs working on there, but i mean like using ableton to make samples, I've tried and when i try using them on the sampler, it says file type not supported. Please lmk!

Yes, if you’re using ableton, make the sample in there and then bounce the sample as a WAV or AIFF file. Then transfer that file to an external hard drive or thumb drive and the DJS1000 sampler will detect the sample you created in its file browser.

@@djmsquared Very cool machine might go that route, its not out of the question but i always wanted to learn ableton and run my xone 96 Master insert section via ableton to run fx and compressor ableton has so many possibilities to use that pumping effect on the kick of any other instruments in order to side chain! The pioneer looks sexy and great for what it is and does though! Toys toys toys we want them all.

This vid made me bought one and it is also very well shown! Congrats! For me it just miss the fact that we can not just record midi notes and send those via midi out to synths (or I missed something). I understand it can send midi clock but not notes but this machine is a king!
