Pioneer PDR-555RW CD Recorder Repair - Part 2 of 2

Attempt to repair Pioneer PDR-555RW CD Recorder "Flashing CHECK" problem. Seems that the actual problem was a dirty "TOC Switch (S601)". This video shows that switch and demonstrates normal CD-RW Finalization process.

Hi Jim, nice to see someone adres an issue like this. Kudos! My PDR555RW (with the blue fluorescent display) has the problem with reading a recordable disc. It just will not do it! So i will try what you have done, and hope it is a success. Thanks again for the two part video 👍

HI Jim ! great video ! I have a Pioneer PDR-509 apparently the diode reached its hours of operation 5100 hrs and I have to reset it...instructions tell me to put it on 'test mode' by jumping the test terminals on the electronic board and then hold 'stop' button for 5 seconds to reset to zero. doesnt work ! do you know another way ? Thanks !

@@deixado Hey Anderson.. no , I could not . I'm afraid that the only Table of Contents switch that I know of , it's the one sitting in the front panel.. sorry . I truly liked the way it used to work.. I'm hoping that I find someone that can fix it . Stay safe and again I'm sorry that I could not help you .
