Another winning video of Holyoke. The Berkshire Ave building at 7:00 was connected to the mill where my Dad worked when I was a kid. I'll ask my sister to show it to him and see if he remembers. Thanks for showing Holyoke. Keep up the great work.

What happened to the CF7s? Long gone? Talk about going the distance!

One is still around and the other was scrapped a year or so ago.

at one time the town was known for making paper, what types of industrial activities go on there nowadays? thanks
@SouthCoastRailVideos9 ай бұрын
They actually still make paper in Holyoke. Other rail served industries there include scrap yards and a waste facility. I think there’s also a couple plastic pellet customers in the area.

Any idea what their schedule is? OD time? And do they still use the CF-7? I'd like to check this out in July.

AWESOME JOB WHERE WERE THESE SHOTS THAT YOU TOOK? I KNOW THIS AREA I DIDNT KNOW Holyoke had any railroad crossings?
@davidgelineau545810 ай бұрын
The beginning is Springdale, behind US Tsubaki I believe. At 7:00 is South Street close to Main St. The large mill building is on Berkshire Ave. The Street running section is Water Street between the third level canal and the Ct River between Cabot St and 391.

Like this video, good content with excellent editing. For those of us just getting into this sort of ' cinema veritae' ; could you tell us what are the mechanics of making a mini documentary. What editing system and cameras do you use. How did you learn to make films? Thanks, Bill S.
