Jeezus why isn't this in the manual. For the life of me i could not figure out why the high pass settings on the deck were affecting my amp & sub. Now i know, the sub setting in "initial" must be wrong (didn't even know they were there) THANK YOU!

I am very happy to help, but I have a few questions first. How are your amps and speakers connected now? For example on the subwoofer with built in amp: Is this connected to the in-dash receiver through speaker level or RCA input? Does the sub have it's own built in crossover? On the 6x9's and amp. How is this amp connected to the in-dash receiver? Speaker level or RCA input? Is there a crossover on the amplifier? Is the crossover and HPF or LPF? Do you have one pair of 6x9 speakers in the system? Or 2 pair of speakers and a subwoofer?

Deckerd Otto thanks for replying and offfering to help! How do I know if it’s connected via rca to the head unit? I think it is; head unit has 4 sockets in the back of it. I have one pair of aftermarket 6x9 speakers located on the parcel shelf. The speaker amp has 2 low input and 2 low output sockets. There are 2 rca (if that’s the correct name) wires plugged into the R and L low input sockets. The low output sockets are unused. The amp also has a gain control, HPF and LPF controls, a crossover control and bass boost control - each control/switch is on a neutral/ halfway setting or zero. The 12inch subwoofer built in amp has rca as well and has frequency, bass boost and gain controls. The speak amp crossover switch has LPF and HPF written on it. The subwoofer amp doesn’t have a crossover switch, just a frequency knob. I hope that answers some of your questions?

The Red and White ( most commonly Red for Right and White for Left) sockets on the back of the in-dash receiver or on the amplifier are commonly called RCA inputs or outputs. This is used to send audio signal from the in-dash receiver to other components in the system. You said the speaker amplifier is using RCA connections. That's good. How does the subwoofer get signal from the in-dash receiver? RCA? Or Speaker level/high input? Next, do a simple test on your system. In the Audio Controls go to the Fader control and fade all the way to the front. You can see it here: kzbin.info/www/bejne/raTXY4R_btqhftU What happens to the sound? Is it out of the 6x9's? or the subwoofer? or both? Now adjust the fader all the way to the rear. What happens to the sound? This will help us understand how the system is wired.

Deckerd Otto the subwoofer is connected to the in-dash receiver via RCA inputs. When I adjust the fader one way, all of the sound comes through the 2 front door factory speakers. The other way, through the 2 aftermarket 6x9s. The subwoofer doesn’t play a part.

What does a crossover do?

If you have a subwoofer, you want it to only play the low bass frequencies. And if you have a tweeter in your system you want it to only play the high frequencies. A crossover is used to send only the low frequencies to the subwoofer. The subwoofer crossover is called an LPF or low pass filter. A different kind of crossover is used to send only the high frequencies to the tweeter. The tweeter crossover is called an HPF or high pass filter. so i bought this headunit without a external amp and i build 2 jbl gto963 that i puted behind the backseats under the glass and i noticed when i give every speaker a output from a headunit ( lets say i got 2 front speakers that took 2 outputs from the headunit and the 2 jbl il back that took 2 outputs ) so i noticed that all the bass dies in the jbl but when i put them together at the same output they give me a good bass? do you think putting them in the same output will lower their real performance ? or if it dosnt can i add 2 extra tweeters for the back seat in the remain output? i would love if you can help me

Please watch this Pioneer how to video about wiring your Pioneer receiver's speaker outputs: kzbin.info/www/bejne/oYOVfoJooNx5q8k Please be sure to wire your speakers with the proper positive and negative connections to the in-dash receiver. Switching the +/- or -/+ wiring can cause out of phase cancelation and make all of the bass go away. The Pioneer DEH-X2700UI is designed to operate up to 4 speakers from it's internal amplifier. This is typically setup as two speakers in the front of the vehicle and 2 in the back. Or two speakers in the front and one small subwoofer in the back. You can't just add more speakers into the system. This may cause the impedance on the internal amplifier to drop and cause the amp to overheat and shut down. The JBL speakers you mentioned are rated at 2.3 ohms impedance. This is already lower than what is recommend for the Pioneer DEH-X2700UI internal amplifier. How to turn ON SUBWOOFER output on my Pioneer DEH-2950MP coz can't find any details even in PDF manual.

I'm not familiar with the Pioneer DEH-2950MP. However, I believe it's operation is very similar to Pioneer DEH-1200MP. The Pioneer DEH-1200MP is an entry level receiver manufactured back in 2009, and does not have a subwoofer control setting. I think you can't find the subwoofer controls because the receiver does not have subwoofer controls. For this receiver, I recommend to use the RCA outputs to an amplifier that has it's own subwoofer crossover built in. Run a full range signal from the in-dash receiver to the external amplifier and use the crossover settings on the amplifier for your subwoofer control. Hi there can you please explain what is the reverse mode for the subwoofer,because when I choose that option,the sound of the subwoofer changes completely,is it wrong to keep the subwoofer on the reverse mode instead of the normal mode?

Normal and reverse mode for the subwoofer refer to the phase of the output. In some installations, changing the subwoofer phase can have a great effect on the system. That's why the setting is there to use. Both normal and reverse are perfectly good to use. Try them both and choose the one that you like the best.

hi, my pioneer 1590UB does not respond to remote control. Remote Control is ok, i changed the battery cell of the remote also but it does not work. What to do?

I recommend to test the wireless remote control on a different Pioneer in-dash receiver of a friends car or at a store. If the remote control operates a different receiver, you'll know the issue is with the DEH-1590UB. This is a very old in-dash receiver and it might need cleaned. If it's not the remote control, I recommend to clean the face of the in-dash receiver with a lightly damp cloth and wipe off the remote eye. Next to remove the detachable face and clean the copper contacts on the face and on the in-dash receiver. The Pioneer DEH-1590UB was first manufactured back in 2011. Dre DjKaliber Griffin Use settings: Rear/Sub connect RCA out to SUB AMP connect the rear speaker output wires to LINE OUT converter and then feed the HIGH amp. If ur High amp already has High level in, then u donot need the LINE OUT converter.

RCA outputs are low level outputs designed to send an audio signal to an external amplifier. RCA outputs by themselves are not meant to run speakers. A great way to add some bass to your system is with a Self Powered subwoofer like the Pioneer TS-WX1010A or 1210A seen here: kzbin.info/www/bejne/opOvp6mwq9t_qNE These are very affordable, easy to install and sound great. Many Pioneer receivers, the DEH-X2700UI included, are capable of operating one small subwoofer (think 8 inch subwoofer, no bigger) on the Rear Speaker Outputs with no external amplifier needed. The system could be set up like this: 2 Speakers in the front of the vehicle running off of the Front Speaker Outputs from the in-dash receiver. And one small subwoofer running from the Rear Speaker Outputs from the in-dash receiver. It sounds like your subwoofer amplifier is going into protection mode and shutting down to protect itself from damage. This could be caused by many different reasons. Some simple things to check are the ground connection for the amplifier, and the impedance shown to the amplifier. What is the Pioneer subwoofer model number? The Pioneer DEH-X2700UI as well as many other more modern Pioneer receivers, have subwoofer output controls built into the in-dash receiver. You can use RCA cables that run from the back of the in-dash receiver to the subwoofer amplifier to deliver the audio signal.
