Will this unit allow you to have a DVD playing on an external monitor while using Android auto on the head unit for navigation for instance?

The Pioneer AVH-2550NEX will not work that way. However, the Pioneer AVIC-W8500NEX / AVIC-8600NEX will play a DVD to a rear monitor with headphones for sound while using Android Auto on the in-dash receiver screen. thank you for the video. Can a USB hub (splitter) be used to connect an iPhone AND a USB flash drive at the same time? If it's truly a USB connection, it should allow more than one device on the single port included with the radio. Can't find anything online. Thanks!

A USB Hub is not supported and does not work. I think the answer is no, but you should do your own research to be certain. The Pioneer AVH-2550NEX will work with idatalink Maestro RR to show live gauge and other OBD-II information on the receiver's screen. Except it won’t work. Mine doesn’t. Pioneer won’t fix the firmware so iOS updates kill CarPlay. Every time. Mine is useless.
