I am interested in Greco-Roman-Catholic history, the most fascinating of all. But I am well aware that this is not Biblical. If America or any other western nation tie its root to that, they will fall.

If Abraham was to keep all of God's comments just what would that be? He lived centuries before the law was given to Moses. The only condition required by God was for Abraham to obey His voice nothing more or nothing less. Read the book of Galatians where Paul spelled out that it was Abraham's faith that saved him not the works of the Law.

In the Scripture we find the Abrahamic covenant renewed with Isaac and in that covent the Lord says, "Because that Abraham obeyed my voice, and kept my charge, my commandments, my statutes, and my laws." Genesis 26:5. What other commandments are there in Scripture than the ten commandments? What other laws and statutes are there in Scripture than those given to Adam and Eve in clothing them with skins (Gn 3.21) and in the offerings made by Abel (Gen 4)? It is evident that those commandments were known by oral tradition. Before Sinai the Lord says to Moses, "And the Lord said unto Moses, How long refuse ye to keep my commandments and my laws?" Exodus 16:28. The Sabbath commandment was known since creation (Gensis 2:1-3). Evangelical Protestants used to understand this as is evident in the Westminster Confession of Faith of 1647. Sadly John Nelson Darby's dispensationalism with all its deciet has spread throughout the USA in Clarence Larkin's "Greatest Book on Dispensational Truth" and through the Scoffield Bible. Neither Darby, Larkin or Scoffield tought sound doctrine, but too many American have been decieve by this error.

*The scriptures were never intended to be in the hands of the Protestants who are the fallen away spoken of in 2Thessalonians 2.* They refuse to hear and obey the church as Christ and the Apostles teach, therefore, they stumble at the word repeatedly. They make up their own doctrines, each one in conflict with the other and have no assurance of anything, except they have an "opinion" which is as worthless as the other millions. Thus, we find endless cults, false teachers, countless false prophets, all pretending to be something they are not, taking up the scriptures that commands them to obey the Church and the bishops of the church, whereby they become ever learning and never able to come to the truth.

In who's hands the scriptures were intended to be in your opinion? Already during the time of the apostles false doctrines and cults were starting to form. Even in ancient Israel false doctrines and cults were constantly forming, causing Israel to stumble. This is not a fault of the Holy Scriptures or of those whom God used to free them from the papal prison, which aimed to keep the masses forever in ignorance of the fact that their religion (Catholicism) was in actuality paganism/devil worship thinly disguised as Christianity. Yes, Protestantism has fallen, but it achieved it's function: no hungry soul can be denied access to the word of God. God will lead those with love for the truth to discover it.

Please stop with the 16th century English already! No other language group would go hundreds of years back to quote a biblical verse. Modern English please.

I am fine with that, some verses sound wierd but KJV is a safe choice. Nothing worng with modern English translations, but there are hundreds of them now, so we have to be careful which version to go with.
