Pipe beveling tips, Prevent Slag and blowing out your weld!

Check out this tip on pipe beveling with my good buddy, Jose! How to use a beveling machine very efficiently! Like an Olympic Welder. We are not going to waste time preheating the pipe! Check the end of the pipe for slag so it doesn't blow up your weld. Don't start cutting right on the mark - go a little bit forward first and then start and why! It throws up a big pile of slag! This answered my question. I saw people run the beveler backwards then forward, but didnt know why.
